If you’re in the mood for attitude, confusion, and a side of “why did I even bother,” then by all means, visit the Krystal in Gray, Georgia. I pulled into the drive-thru hoping to grab a simple sackful of Krystals for my family — you know, a basic, well-known menu item — and instead I got an experience that felt like I’d interrupted the staff’s nap time.
After sitting at the intercom for a solid four to 5 minutes (apparently the warm-up period before they acknowledge customers), a young man finally answered… and wow, I had no idea ordering food required a degree in Krystal Menu Studies. I guess the “Sackful of Krystals” is now a top-secret item, because he acted absolutely offended that I didn’t understand whatever handwritten sign they taped above the menu that said “Steamers.” My mistake for not being a menu archaeologist.
The employee was rude, dismissive, and seemed genuinely annoyed that I had the audacity to, you know, try to buy food. I’m baffled that customer service like this is considered acceptable. I am new to Gray — this town has some of the nicest people around, everyone is so sweet and kind. But this location? Completely different universe.
This was actually my second attempt to give them a chance, and once again, I left without ordering. Honestly, I’m starting to think leaving hungry is part of the Krystal experience here.
If you value your time, money, or basic human respect, do yourself a favor and avoid this place until they figure out what “customer service” means. New management, new training — something. Anything.
Until then, I’ll continue getting my food elsewhere… where ordering a hamburger doesn’t require a debate at the drive-thru.

Came to get a few cheese krystals and chilli cheese fries and was severely disappointed. For starters, the lady that took our order at the drive through had a nasty attitude. Furthermore we pulled up to the window and she still gave us the same attitude but we ignored it. I’ve worked in the food industry and understand how frustrating it can become. However to my surprise once I went to enjoy the meal the meat was gray and the buns were soggy. The fries were also disappointing as they were still frozen in the middle. We will not be returning.

Went through the drive-thru. They were very slow. I ordered Crystal add ketchup. Mind you I’m in the Drive-Thru in a car planning to eat and drive. So I went inside. The lady behind the counter said sorry we’re busy you can add ketchup yourself I gave you some packets.

This is the worst Krystal that I have ever been to. When you go in and try to order lunch and they tell you they’re on break right now is unreal. Service is terrible and food is hit or miss. Mostly miss. Who ever the owner is needs to come to gray and order undercover to see how they treat customers. Can’t believe that this Krystal is making much profit. If they are Krystals profit on burgers and fries is very high. They could be making much more money and offer more back the community. Owner needs to go and talk with owner off Dairy Queen in gray to see how to run a fast food business. Our family loves Krystal’s but we want ever go back to this one even thou it’s closet one to our residents.

The last 3 visits were terrible! No chili, no sweet tea the food took forever, and the lady working in the counter acted like she could care less if we ever ate there again Also, the french fries were cold. at one time it was a good place to eat, but it appears as if the management now doesn’t care

My mother and two aunts went here to pick us all up lunch the other day. They waited almost 30 min for their order and were treated very rudely at the drive up window. Drinks were ready when they pulled up but nothing else was. The cashier was rude and acted put out for even having to deal with them. When the food was finally ready the order was short 1 order of fries. When they told the employee she scoffed and basically threw the missing order of fries in the bag. It was apparent that the burgers had been sitting in the bag for some time because the bottom of the bag was soaking wet from moisture and basically falling out. Burgers were cold by the time they got them. Considering they are 3 older white ladies and the staff that day was predominantly black they felt like the employees were being racist, other employees were giving them dirty looks etc when they had only been polite and kind to the employees. It’s sad that racism seems alive and well out here, we’re originally from California and that doesn’t fly out there! Will not be back!
