This place is a classic Chinese restaurant. Decor is old school and grand (circa 1985). Food was excellent and fast. My husband was impressed with the sauces on the beef entrees. The waiter, Alan was wonderful. He told us he had 200,000 hours of experience serving! He’s eager to discuss the menu choices – just ask!

Always been one of my favorites. The place is classic and not many places like this left. My aunt use to take us to Crestwood mall in the 1980s and 1990s. I have been going here that long. Great service and great food!! You also get your meal on real china plates if you dine in. It’s not like other places it’s old school!!

Chose this restaurant for a bite to eat for lunch while my car was getting work done on by the amazing team at MIDAS.

The staff allowed me inside with my longboard and gave me a seat in one of two main dining areas. I was the only customer at the one side.

I was served and given exceptional service. I had leftovers and was given additional leftovers. That was very nice touch!

I recommend this restaurant! It was clean and very friendly.

The food was delicious! Both entrees had great flavors and nice portions (we took most of both entrees home). The beef on the appetizer plate was very, very tasty. We didn’t eat the calamari ringa because they were rubbery. Otherwise, everything was excellent. The server was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered an appetizer and had just about finished when our entrees arrived. The place was very empty but it was Christmas Eve. The only downside was the bathrooms. Both bathrooms were unkempt and dingy looking. It’s an old building, so it may just look dingy because of the age. We will definitely return to try other dishes.

Been coming here for 30 years. Their egg rolls & house special beef & Jasmine tea were the best! Now their handmade egg rolls are abo good & I don’t know what step they miss but the dough of the wrapper is not cooked thru & doughy inside no matter how dark or crispy they are outside. Is it a thicker wrapper? Are 2 stuck together? Are they not being rolled thin enough? Did the old owners have a technique that cooked them all the way thru every time when they were in charge? The cabbage & pork is the same? There might be less but almost as full? My BF & I could each eat 4 they were so good but now we can hardly eat one! We’re not the only ones who noticed. It’s been going on since Covid & the people who ran it everyday stopped being there. The house special beef isn’t the same either. I’m lucky to have figured out the recipe years ago so I make it myself but I can’t copy the egrolls no matter how hard I try! We used to buy them all the time & our last 6 visits have all been exactly the same bad experience. We want to buy them & even tried continuing cooking them in the oven to finish them off but nothing works. We still give you a chance every year to see if you’ve fixed it but you haven’t. Eat one, see if you don’t notice how much dough is under cooked! Please fix this!

Food was good. Service was too. I was shocked that the sauce we dipped into was shared with another table next to us. “Are you done with the sauce?” And then passed it off to our neighbors. Not very sanitary. Likely won’t get appetizers here but everything else seemed clean and atmosphere is very relaxed.

My favorite restaurant for years now for Chinese Fresh Food. The standard order is Shrimp Toast(excellent could be larger), Pot Stickers(great flavor), Crab Ragoon, Combination Fried Rice with Extra Shrimp and Extra Meat. They use fresh everything along with big shrimp & meat compared to most places. Not greasy like alot of restaurants at all. Always order to go, so we have dinner. I know they changed staff as I think the parents retired. Shrimp Toast use to be larger and Crab Rangoon use to have more filling too.
Please support your locally-owned businesses to keep them in our communities.

This is the best Chinese food around St. Louis. Seriously, I live in a different state and still come back here. They use quality cuts of meat, and their recipes are phenomenal. Sesame beef is my favorite entree, but honestly you can’t go wrong here. Yes, the decor is dated and hasn’t changed since I started going there in the late 90s. But I have honestly never had better pot stickers from any other restaurant- they clearly still make them in house when so many restaurants just don’t anymore. From start to finish Sesame is delicious.

Fast service and decent food. I ordered it to go and it was ready in about 10 minutes. The crab rangoon didn’t appear to have any crab, real or artificial, but it was a solid cream cheese rangoon. The egg roll wasn’t great.

I’ve had trouble finding a good Chinese restaurant in the area. Sesame is one of the better ones but I’m not sure I’ll be back.
