So delicious and the portions were very generous. Owner was really friendly. I’m trying the mac-subi next time! It’s in a bingo hall with slots and pool tables which we weren’t expecting but that was cool. Shot some pool while we waited for our food to come out. Best macaroni I’ve ever had and the poke tasted fresh and very flavorful. The pork was fantastic as well go check em out!

Note, this place is inside a bingo hall. It can be kind of loud and kind of smoky, depending on when you go. Irregardless, we had to check this place out. We tried their malasadas at a Cowboy Cookout in Nolanville. We loved their food! The wife, who lived in Hawaii for a few years, said this restaurant has scratched her plate lunch itch the best. We got the chicken katsu curry, the aloha plate, 2x spam masubis, and 3x various malasadas. Needless to say, it was enough for two meals. The leftovers were just as great tonight. Thanks for the amazing food, we’ll be back!

The ambience, atmosphere and aloha are truly one of a kind! The food is awesome and really takes me back home. If you are looking for authentic Hawaiian food and real poke then look no further.

I also come for walaʻau and listen to da jamz! Absolutely recommend the Kamaʻāina combo and the strawberry lemonade.

The garlic chicken and furikake chicken was . Best chicken I’ve ever had in my life!!!! Eileen was super nice and helpful. Really great atmosphere as well. I used to live in Kaneohe,HI and visited a restaurant called alleys every weekend and if you’ve ever had alleys then you’ll definitely love Koko’s Cafe. Thank you guys for ending my 5 year search for this type of garlic chicken Hands down the best in my life!!!

This restaurant is not like the other Hawaiian places here in Killeen. The food feels more homemade, and you’re given huge portions. I had the Loco Moko. My first bite was a very pleasant shock. The hamburger steak was hot, had amazing flavor, and complimented the whole meal. I had an egg over easy. It held very well on the hamburger steak, and sat in a pool of light brown gravy. The gravy isn’t the regular dark brown gravy, but I liked it. It was hot, it was everywhere, and delicious. It hid the bed of rice the Loco Moko was on top of. But when it hit the rice, it brought another level of flavor to the rice. I added a bit of Sriracha. I didn’t want to over power the flavor of the food. The macaroni was creamy, and went well with the meal. It didn’t have all the extra stuff in it, so you actually got the taste of the macaroni. I had so much food I couldn’t finish it. I also had the musubi. It was hot and delicious. Not hard or stale. Everything tasted homemade. It was so GOOD! I also ordered 3 malasada’s, and I can’t wait to eat them later tonight. If the food was that delicious, I can’t imagine how the malasada’s will be! The lady behind the counter was very nice, the gentleman was awesome too. He definitely had that older Hawaiian uncle vibe going on. They both made me welcomed. I wished I found this place sooner. The brought a tear to my eye. That’s how good it was. Dey definitely da kine. I think that’s how they say it.

Customer service: extremely friendly! I’m usually not a big talker but I found myself having a great conversation with the man and woman working (I’m so sorry I forgot to get your names)

Appearance: initially I was hesitant because the bingo area smelled like cigarettes.

Food appearance: fantastic! It looked as great as it tasted!

Taste: amazing! The spicy poke bowl had enough spice in it and wasn’t overwhelming. The rice was cooked to perfection! The edamame was great. And the shrimp was crunchy and warm!

The Masada (hopefully I spelled that correctly: I’m addicted! These are just sooooo good!

I will be going back! Thank you so much!

So today I bought masubi from the local restaurants to include Koko Cafe. We wanted to see who the best in harker hieghts was and we found out as it’s was a10/10 as far as traditional and flavorful. Also the price was in point for the quality. And to top it off the owner was a delight to meet and was very pleasant to talk to. If you don’t stop in, call and get your order but I’ve thing is for sure don’t miss out on some great food and great staff.

The food is amazing. They cater events and do weddings. My cousin told me they came down and had a spot near Harker Heights. Chicken Katsu better than L&L. The BBQ mix was perfect. If you know you know.

As someone who moved from Hawaii to Texas finding authentic local food is difficult but Koko Cafe has it all with true local flavors! Great portions and a genuine taste of the islands. The Laulau and poke is killer and had me stuffed. Talking story with the owner felt like being back at home in Hawaii. I highly recommend eating here and getting to know the owners who embody real Aloha Spirit. Definitely looking forward to going back again for both the amazing food and the good company.
