Brenda’s Mexican Restaurant is the real deal.

Fantastic food, awesome service, and a welcoming culture that makes you feel right at home. The dishes are authentic, flavorful and generously portioned…and you can’t beat the prices.

A true hidden gem for anyone who loves great Mexican food done right.

First Time here. I ordered the Deluxe Mexican Plate. The Enchiladas were Fantastic(Blanco Cafe enchiladas are still the best in town) the enchilada sauce was very good, the cheese melts in your mouth and it’s was very tasty, the rice was good too, the beans were also good, the tortillas were very very Good The only bad thing was the Parillada for one, they were very greedy with the portion of meat Where is the Beef I will come again to this Restaurant

We were in the area for another stop and decided to try Brenda’s for a late lunch and I’m so glad we did! Great selection with all you’d expect at a Tex mex lunch spot PLUS puffy tacos, gorditas and tortas. We had the Brenda’s combo appetizer, a chicken gordita, chile relleno, chicken fajita tacos and a kids chicken taco. All outstanding! Huge portions, fresh tortillas and it all came out very quick. Outstanding value across from Blossom athletic center. Friendly service to boot. Would gladly go back and I’d recommend you check it out if you’re in the area!

Update: I have been very disappointed with the food at Brenda’s after my last 4 visits. Always was a big supporter, but unfortunately not anymore. The flour tortillas have drastically changed, food comes out cold, chiles rellenos are not cleaned of the seeds, salsas have been inconsistent, tacos are no longer what they were because of the tortillas. I will say the service is great and the staff is nice. Hopefully they will read this comment and improve so I can once again give Brenda’s a good rating.

I love Brenda’s Mexican Restaurant for great tasting Tex-Mex food. Just the way I like it. The tortillas are very fluffy and extremely tasty. The plate lunch specials are the bomb. Service, Food, and Staff friendliness is always point. My photos are of the various plate lunches that you can certainly order. Highly Recommended!!!

I don’t know if Brenda makes burgers as well, but I might slightly favor the tex-mex I had today in a throw-down of female named tex-mex locales like, Ruthie’s, Angie’s, Maria’s, Camila’s, etc. Yellow American cheese haters were running for the door today as nachos, enchiladas and tacos were carried forth from the kitchen on plates laden with mounds of melted cheese shreds, delivered to tables, and devoured by appreciative diners. Actually no such activity occurred as described in the first part of the above sentence, but the rest was an accurate Norman Rockwell scene of happy diners. Did he ever paint any slice-of-life-mexican-food-eater scenes?

American cheese and chili con carne gravy set my public school, “Mexican food” Wednesday lunch loving constitution on fire. Yes, that fire is fire! Or is it actually better said in less effusive, neo-slang avoiding terms as just “very good”!

Simple b&c nachos were composed of a lighter application of toppings which were satisfying yet left room for the entree. Those not fond of a heavier hand on the chili powder might be less than enthralled with the taste of enchiladas. The crispy taco was sufficiently filled with tasty but drippy shredded chicken. The beef puffy taco blew me away on first bite as I punctured the shell of the masa balloon and the blow out parted my moustache. What a rush! I would have to rate this masa floatiie in the upper regions of my craveable corn comestible mouth pleasers. I may just have to get the puffy plate upon return.

Rice and beans were a B+ but the torts were above average for their made-in-house freshness and flavor. Eat to much and you can cross the street for a jog around the Blossom track or take a few laps in the swimming pool.

A fellow church member had been raving about how good this food is for over a year. He finally got a small group of us to meet there for lunch right after church. The service was good, the place was clean, had ample parking and ample seating. I was very impressed with their menu choices. I ordered the Empanada plate with an ice tea. It was delicious. I believe Brenda’s will replace Las Palapas as my favorite go-to Mexican restaurant.

If you’re in the mood for a traditional Mexican cafe, then look no further than Brenda’s. It’s a perfect spot for a weekend breakfast with the family or great friends. The prices are great and the portion sizes will leave you full. I highly recommend the barbacoa tacos with their homemade corn tortillas.

It’s rare that you find an actual gem, but here we are! Brenda’s deserves more noteriety and respect among the more popular Tex Mex cafes. The only reason the line isn’t out the door is because it hasn’t been “discovered” yet. The meats are juicy and perfectly cooked. Most restaurant beans are good, the beans here are great. There’s not a bad order on the menu, only great and excellent choices.

Nice place for authentic Tex-Mex. It’s packed with locals for weekday lunch. Very cold inside during my visit in frigid January. The lunch specials are good and fairly priced at $9. My lunch combo on a Tuesday had enchiladas and carne guisada with rice and beans.
