We specialize in Southern style cooking, southern comfort, soul food and seafood. We are open from Monday- Saturday serving delicious plate lunches from 10:30am-8:00pm or until we are sold out. We update or menu daily for our plate lunches and post them daily on our Facebook page. Follow us on our Facebook page to see photos, information and daily menu updates. Here are some of the popular items on our menu. Smothered oxtail, meat ball stew, smothered chicken, smothered pork chop, red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee with fried catfish, shrimp etouffee with fried catfish, Cajun pasta, Beef and Shrimp Yakamein, fried chicken wings, shrimp and grits, BBQ ribs,…its hard not to mention everything because everything is so delicious.

I’m in Lafayette for work, coming from Houston.
I asked a friend (local) to recommend a restaurant that I could get some good quick food from and she recommended this spot.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a woman named Ms Misty. She had a wonderful smile and welcoming presence to her.
I let her know that I’m in from out of town and asked her to order for me.
She ordered me gumbo with sides of potato salad and mac and cheese. This food is absolutely delicious! The mac and cheese is cheesy with some sort of a cajun spice to it and the gumbo flavor is absolutely flawless.
It has sausage and chicken and it could not be better for this cold day.
I will absolutely come back to this restaurant when I visit town again.

I stopped by on my way from Texas to Florida. Did a Google search on best soul food in Lafayette and it DID Not disappoint! My granny was from Louisiana and taught all us girls how to cook good southern food. It was like sitting at my Granny’s table all over again. I got the SoulFiya combo with greens potato salad and substitute the fries for red beans and rice. For under $20 I got enough food to feed me for 3 times! Also comes with a drink. I got tea! I had the opportunity to try this joint yesterday, and man O man, the food was AMAZING!! I got the 4 wing plate with two sides and a cornbread. The fries snuck up on me cause I didn’t know they were included as well. The wings were hot, fresh, crunchy, and seasoned well. The beans were really good. The Mac N Cheese was superb!! The fries were hot and seasoned well, and the cornbread was good as well. I was actually really impressed and the lady that took my order was really nice. She also told me Happy New Year when she brought my order! The atmosphere was pretty chill and was quiet when I was there! Give this place a try Lafayette!!!!

I ordered the oxtails, which were two huge pieces and my two sides were green beans and cabbage. The meal was so flavorful, piping hot, and the oxtails were so tender. I will definitely explore the menu moving forward.

Today I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes w/gravy, corn, cabbage, and cornbread. The foods was delicious as always. My server was Jodessa S, she was very polite, courteous, and helpful. Whenever your in the area I recommend Sou Haus Kitchen, they will never disappoint. Thanks for the great food and service. I failed to mention that I also purchased the oxtails for my husband. He said it was very good, and he’s hard to please. If only y’all could reopen your Carencro location. I used to drive from Opelousas a lot just to pick up food.

Delicious, hot, reasonably priced, with good portions in a clean, friendly atmosphere. No wait time, food came out shortly after ordering. I had the chicken-sausage gumbo with a side of potato salad. My husband had the smothered pork chops with red beans and rice and Mac n cheese. We both got dessert. He had banana pudding and I had strawberry short cake. Everything was delicious!!!! When we’re in the Lafayette area again this will definitely be our go to spot!!!!

This is one of my usual spots when I’m in Lafayette. Always give superb service. Kami has helped me numerous occasions via drive thru or inside the restaurant. The definition of southern hospitality. Highly recommend the red beans or fried shrimp. The turkey wing is also really good. Food is priced well.

Kami L. in the drive-thru is an absolute rockstar! She made my entire experience so much better with her high energy and great attitude. It’s rare to get such genuine, friendly service at a window, but she nailed it.

Wednesday the 25 of February I stop by soul haus from TikTok, I heard the food was good it’s was delicious so I had to come in for myself and try it. The girl with glasses she said her name was Dee. greeted me and explained the menu to me and suggested meal items that she thought I would like. She suggested the Étouffée with the fried crawfish. I’m glad she suggest it, cause it was 10/10. I will definitely be back when I’m in town. Keep up the southern hospitality.
