As a golfer I loved this bar. Anthony the owner is a really nice guy. He made us feel welcome the second we walked in the door. Anthony is very knowledgeable on the beers and liquor he was serving. He’s been in the game for a minute. Great atmosphere. Great prices. Great conversation. We actually came back a second time in one day. We will for sure be stopping back by the next time were in town.

Have not eaten there yet but it’s a decent bar to go to. Bourbon prices are extremely high but the service is good as well as the atmosphere unfortunately you can go broke if you enjoy bourbon.

I recently visited this bar with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The service was subpar, and the quality of the drinks was not up to standard. The most disappointing thing was the rudeness of the staff. A welcoming and friendly atmosphere is something I value when I go out, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.
I believe that honest feedback can help businesses improve, and I hope that this review serves as an opportunity for the bar to address these issues. I would encourage the management to consider better training for their staff and pay closer attention to the quality of their offerings.

No place in Somerset I’d rather have a drink!! The bartenders are quick with great drinks, the bourbon selection is phenomenal and the atmosphere is the best in town.

My wife and I dropped in last Friday evening for a glass of wine (which was a little pricey). We didn’t order food. I thought the place was clean, cozy, and inviting. The bathroom was very clean. The bartender was polite and informative. I liked the atmosphere. I’d suggest a gas fireplace or even an electric one over by the sofas under where the TVs are mounted. I think they are still working to establish an identity. The name is Birdies and Barrels. Birdies seems to be a golf reference and Barrels might be a Bourbon reference. On the door it says “cigar” tavern A guy came in and seemed to be obsessing over some dying plants in the windows. That needs work. My wife said the place smelled like someone was vaping. I really didn’t notice any bad smells. The building is spectacular and I think they need to think hard about the name of the business…create a solid identity that links to the community…or something that makes people curious…
Be a Bourbon and wine bar (this is my vote), or a Golfer’s hangout…or a Cigar Tavern…but make it clear and stick with it.

Food was absolutely amazing. The best I’ve had in downtown Somerset. Staff is good at making you feel welcome and making sure you’re taken care of. All while you relax with other patrons.

Good luck ordering a drink. Three bartenders all focused on the regulars sitting at the bar while the rest of us wait forever to be served. Tonight I stood second in line for 20 minutes waiting to order and they never even approached the first guy in line. Last week same thing except I was first in line. It seems like there is no set process for ordering it’s just based on who can get the bartenders attention first. Last week I asked and they said the best place to order was at the end of the bar. I stand there waiting to order when they approach me but they never approach. The drinks are good when you finally get one. The lounge-like furniture gives off a nice relaxing atmosphere if you’re able to sit down and enjoy a drink.

If you’re looking for an establishment to unwind after a long day; this place is a must. Bartenders are great; they can mix up your favorite cocktail or offer a suggestion for something new for you to try. The atmosphere is inviting & service is great!
