We found ourselves in the area and spontaneously tried to be walk-ins. Staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and quick at accommodating us at the bar.
We had the croquettes (fabulous appetizer), the dates (this was the one thing we didn’t like and wouldn’t recommend ordering. We had very different expectations. There was absolutely no blue cheese at all), the Bolognese (this was delicious), and the absolute standout was the Balanzoni. Everything about the Balanzoni worked with the sausage, sage, and pistachios.
The ambiance was upscale but casual. We loved the space! It was very lively. I felt like I was back in Italy ordering good food without the stuffy overbearing atmosphere so many restaurants that do fresh made pasta have.
They change up their menu a lot, so I can’t wait to go back!
Everything from the bread service to the Tiramisu were Devine. Nothing felt rushed or out of place. Even the conversation with the waiter was grand. The pasta had a toothiness that you would expect from fresh. The duck breast was mid-rare with crispy skin. The small plates absolutely hit all points. The drinks top notch and well crafted. Didn’t wanna make a review because I dont want this place to be on one of those outta state transplants TikTok or Instagram videos but this place deserves to be packed!!
Overall not worth the price because the pasta was disappointing. I really wanted to love this place since it’s locally sourced and scratch made 🙁
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Flourshop!
From the moment we walked in, everything was top-tier — the ambiance was to die for, effortlessly stylish and inviting. The food was out of this world — each dish beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly crafted with so much care and creativity.
What truly set the evening apart was the service. Our server was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. He genuinely loved his job! And to top it all off, the chef personally came to our table several times — not just to check in, but to walk us through the dishes, explain the inspiration behind them, and make us feel truly immersed in the experience. It’s rare to feel that kind of connection and intentionality in a dining experience.
This place is a gem in Charlotte. If you’re looking for a memorable night out — whether it’s a date, celebration, or just a well-deserved treat — I highly recommend giving Flourshop a try. Can’t wait to come back!
Hidden away little secret place to have a fantastic dinner and experience! Make a reservation..
They treat you special right off to the start.
They want you to have the best time. And we did!
Fried calamari, so good! Really fresh.
The homemade lemon Occhi pasta, was phenomenal, so light and delicious.
Homemade pappardelle Bolognese, doesn’t get any better!
Our server Madison was great!
Manager Ed took extra care of us.
Then the chocolate fluffy cake to finish us off with a little ice cream.
Thank you!
A great experience at “flower shop”
Never mind that. I found some great protein-forward options. Started with the hamachi, which was so refreshing. Then went with the pork chop for my main, which had a great smoky flavor and came with a lovely Romesco sauce.
We really enjoyed our meal here along with the good service and cool ambiance. My only complaint was they were out of a few items (2 apps, and entree, a few beers).
