We’re Tradewinds & The Galley-Elkhart LLC, a leading restaurant in Elkhart, IN since 2019. With 50 beers on tap and a full bar with daily drink specials, we offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day, featuring a variety of appetizers, fresh salads, sandwiches, and burgers. We’ve recently upgraded with a new high-end spirits bar and game room, complete with darts, pool tables, shuffleboard, skee ball, and more. Enjoy live music every Friday in the fall, and join our Galley Tiki Club volleyball leagues during the summer. Our big screen TVs make dining with us an exciting experience. “Just what I needed! These breakfast sandwiches are fantastic. However, the pancakes are very mid. Everything was fresh, hot, and perfectly made—the eggs were fluffy, the meat was savory, and the bread was toasted just right.

Update: stopped in for a quick breakfast. Our first visit was good so to have the experience we did this morning it was disappointing to say the least. Not super busy but waited a long time for our order. Eggs were overcooked, pancakes were tasteless. Would not recommend. Overpriced for mediocre food at best. Server barely stopped to see how things were. Will not be coming back.
Stopped in on a weekday morning for a late breakfast and had a wonderful experience. My son ordered pancakes & bacon while my husband and I each ordered a breakfast skillet. Food was good and service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend and will return again.

This is a wonderful place to eat, though it has about an eigth of the menu options that the Mishawaka location has. The service is fantastic. The food tastes great. The problem? They’re never open. Always closed at night. Go to the Galley? It’s too loud for kids and people with sensory issues and tall tables that are uncomfortable. I’d rather eat at the restaurant at night and not just breakfast. What’s the point of having a location if you’re not going to be convenient?

Have been in for breakfast a handful of times now, a very friendly place. An all around good place, hot coffee on point, clean silverware and plates. Food all comes out together, with plenty of options ❤️. Khylie and Kierra don’t stop moving. Constantly refreshing coffee, and cleaning up after us.

Veggie omelet and wheat toast. One slice of the toast was on the burnt side. The omelet was ok, not the best I have ever had. The omelet appeared to be made of either 2 large eggs or 3 small eggs, lacked fluffiness as an omelet normally has but it was ok.
Others in our party had various dishes that look good and appeared to get a nice serving. If I go there again, I will try other dishes.
The place was busy but not super busy. There was a steady flow of customers. I would try again.

Trade winds is Great prices, and good food. When you are here and it isn’t busy it’s amazing and you get great fast service. When it’s busy it’s a longer wait, but it’s worth it for the price. They have diet Mountain Dew which Is rare for a restaurant to have in their drink selection. If they ever get better at handling busy crowds I will change my review to 5 stars.

I don’t know what happened there today. I have a feeling it’s not always this bad, but my first experience makes me want to make it my only experience.
First off, the pancakes were really good. That’s where the good stuff ends.
We waited 50 minutes after ordering for the food to get out. It wasn’t super busy but maybe they had staff shortages in the kitchen or something. These things happen I understand, but it’d be nice if they updated us. We ordered during breakfast and the people who came in later who ordered lunch got their food well before ours. We didn’t get offered refills until we asked for the check.
My table ordered four sides of hash browns. One was supposed to be crispy the rest normal. We instead got two orders burnt, one normal, and one raw.
My steak was supposed to be medium rare, I got well done, and my scrambled eggs were runny.
My friend ordered the breakfast sandwich and there were raw egg whites. She ordered a cherry danish and was brought a cinnamon one instead.
Another friend ordered a chicken skillet. It was burnt and there were two large chunks of chicken in it. His side of toast was very cold.
And the last order for our table was the tradewinds omelette, and that too was undercooked.
Our server was friendly, but she rarely made her way to our table.
The price here isn’t bad on its own, but for the quality of the food it’s definitely not worth it. First ever breakfast place I’d give a 0/5.

Breakfast. Please tell the kitchen to STOP soaking the toast with too much butter. A better option would be to give us butter like the jam & jellies so we can dose ourselves. Also..stop calling women “dear” or “honey” or anything else sugary. Our generation hates that coming from a young person.
