Riverside Pizza & Pub is a family owned and operated neighborhood pizzeria, restaurant and bar originally established in St. Charles, Illinois in 2014. The vision was to create a scratch kitchen with unique spins on classic dishes, complemented by craft beer, cocktails, and a robust wine selection – a modern spin on a classic pizzeria. A few friends joined the team and opened the South Elgin location in 2016, Batavia in 2019, & Oswego in 2021. The concepts follow the same principles of creating a warm and inviting experience built on approachable, tasty food and beverages that people can come back to time and time again. We look forward to serving you, your family and friends in the Western suburbs of Chicago for years to come.

Loved the gluten free Pizza and potato skins! Ordered a sweet tea also. Came to enjoy the last bears game of the year and it was such a fun and energetic atmophere. They turned the tvs up so all could hear the game clearly, without having to shout over one another. Perfect volume. They were very attentive during a busy time. I will definitely come back again! Very impressed! Bear down!!!

Friday night (02/20/2026 7 pm) Ordered out 3 pizzas: 1 cheese, 1 pepperoni and 1 barbecue chicken. This is by far the worse pizza I’ve had all year, the crust was so dry and thick, it’s like someone’s first time making a crust and they just said here take it, horrible! The barbecue chicken pizza was so bad, the chicken chucks were too big, barely any barbecue sauce, the onions were crunchy and the toppings slid all over the pizza, we literally had to use a spatula to grab slices. Damn near $80 for 3 pizzas, will not be making that mistake again and I will not be recommending them to anyone. Do yourself a favor and never order “double crust” or the barbecue chicken pizza.

We came here for dinner. We were greeted and sat at a booth. It’s beautiful inside. I ordered a grilled chicken taco salad and hubby had a crispy chicken salad. Very good. the kids had burger and nachos. We ended our meal with dessert of fried dough dippers and dipping sauce of chocolate sauce and apple caramel, it was so yummy. It was enough dessert for everyone to share .

The atmosphere, food, and drinks are great! I got the Italian beef pizza and it was delicious and spicy. Also tried their tropical cocktail special and that was full of coconut flavor, yum! Will definitely be returning!

This was my first time being there. I had a thin crust with Italian sausage mushrooms and black olives. I really enjoyed the pizza. The crust was kind of crispy the way I like it. Only thing is it could have used a little more sauce. Ill just ask for extra next time.

I was in town and decided to visit in a late Sunday evening. I was really impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. I had to go back the next day.
The chips were fresh and good. The pizza was perfect (my new pizza place when in Illinois). The drinks and the service was excellent.

I really hate that I am leaving a review because riverside has been the best pizza place in oswego in all of my 6 years living here until now. While dining in, We arrived to the restaurant on 1/2 Tuesdays before the rush at about 3:45pm. Upon getting seated we were told no one can take our order because the waitresses shift doesnt start for another 10 minutes and that we would have to wait. Odd right?
So we wait, finally a young waitress walks up to our table and because we know and understand the wait time on pizzas, we made sure we ordered right away to get the pizza started. We ordered 4 waters and our pizza order, which was a pan style 1/2 cheese and pepperoni. About 25 minutes later after ordering, someone from the kitchen brings a pizza to our table. It was thin crust… we ordered the pan style. The guy doesnt say anything and walks away with the pizza. About 2 minutes later the young waitress comes back and says “well, I thought you said thin crust”… we never mentioned thin crust. We always order pan style. No apologies, just a roll of the eyes, and clear attitude after she messed up. We showed up early to beat the rush and immediately after work to account for time on pizza cooking. We were told we’d have to wait another 35-40 mins for the correct pizza to come out. Obviously they brought back the thin pizza for us as our kids were starving and did not want to wait another additional 40mins, but that’s not what we originally ordered. No one made it right, nothing got discounted off of our check. Nothing. After the thin pizza was brought back to our table, we didnt see the waitress again until it was time for the check. Clearly she was trying to avoid us after her mistake. We never gave her attitude about her mistake or were even in the slightest rude to her. I really have enjoyed riverside after all these 6 years but that really put a bad taste in my mouth. The attitude, the start to during and end of our service. I have read other reviewers where the same issues have happened to them as well. It doesnt seem like they cared to fix the mistake and that says alot about a business in not trying to make even the slightest mistakes right. I get mistakes are made but accountability should be made too. I hope managers or owners of riverside read these reviews and do better at being a better business and making things right, not only for just me and my family, but for others who have dealt with the same thing as well.

The first two servers I had were extremely cool and great. The last one made me feel a little rushed and weird, but I still tip everyone over 20% because that’s just me and even tipped busboy because he was working hard also. I love the shrimp here 100%, but wings were just ok for me, and I wanted to try pizza because it looks amazing. The drinks are awesome, and I’m definitely going to come back. I believe in diversity, and the crowd didn’t bother me just the last server.

Excellent food and service here. Wish we had checked this place out sooner! The pizza is fantastic, great selection of beer and cocktails, the soups we have tried have been amazing as well. Think we found a new ‘go-to’ place to grab a meal with the family.
Well lit, clean, not too loud to enjoy spending time with friends and family and have a conversation over some excellent food and drinks.
Can’t wait to come back and try some of their other appetizer options!
Update: We have been back a few more times, and it’s still excellent. The soups that they offer are seriously delicious. Love that they have had different offerings each time we have been here!

I’d say 90% of the time we visit, they have a soup choice that I say: This is one of the best soups I’ve ever had. The times they don’t have amazing soup, are soups I simply don’t like. For example, broccoli cheddar.
Everything here is fantastic, from the food to the sevice.
