Lunch at Astra was amazing! The environment is warm and welcoming, the staff was attentive and the timing and proportions of food were perfect! The food was incredibly delicious and I recommend ordering the chicken club sandwich, que rico! The Bar & Restaurant Director, Julio Leon, is attentive to his staff and he was so accommodating to us as guests, making sure we were taken care of and enjoying our experience at Astra. I give Astra a 10 out of 10 for great food, great atmosphere and great service!

12/20/25: Staycation at Hall Arts Hotel. Ellie’s Restaurant & Lounge was recommended by the front desk, and we decided to check it out. Chelsea was our hostess and she was great. Very nice, laid back atmosphere, with several TV’s by the bar area. We were seated at a table, and it was a very comfortable setting. The food was pretty good and the service was great. Cam, the manager, came to check on us, and he was great.

Astra at the Hall Arts Hotel is a wonderful spot for brunch in downtown Dallas. I went with two friends and had a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is beautiful, the food and drinks were excellent, and the service was outstanding.
One of the managers, Julio, was especially kind and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. I would absolutely return and highly recommend Astra. 10/10

I have heard about this place many times but I finally went to celebrate my friend’s birthday. I heard this place is popular and crowded therefore I made a reservation which was simple and easy. Ellie’s is located inside Hall Arts Hotel which is surrounded by art pieces inside and outside the hotel that made great picture opportunities. I do recommend valet because the parking around the hotel and restaurant was $15 and up but with valet it’s only $5 since we were going to Ellie’s. The jazz trio started around 11am (we went on Sunday) and they weren’t too loud that you could still have conversation and enjoy the music. I had the Sunrise Sandwich with salad and my friend had a Burger with Parmesan Fries. They were also so nice where there was no more Prosecco and was able to substitute with Champagne. Lilly our server was awesome and overall everything was great.

We ate here for brunch since we were staying at the hotel. The food was really good but also very pricey. The service was friendly but inattentive. I had the avocado toast and it came with one piece of toast and was really good and the poached egg was perfection. It was $22 dollars. My husband had a breakfast croissant with potatoes and it was also really good and it was $19. It was a nice place and a quiet atmosphere for brunch on a Sunday after a night at the symphony.

Enjoyable live music and an interesting selection of cocktails and mocktails. Unfortunately, there are zero gluten free food options available – we were told that everything was cross-contaminated. Disappointing, but I appreciated the openness and clarity that they will not accommodate guests who are gluten free. We’ll go elsewhere in the future – I prefer to be able to eat something & there are plenty of other spots in the area with great gf options.

The staff was incredible. From Mario at the lounge, to AJ and crew at valet and the front desk staff. Very personable and attentive and friendly. The room and hotel was beautiful and clean. The best breakfast we had in Dallas too! Don’t take the blueberry pancakes off the menu! We look forward to coming back after the renovations in February. Thank you a great time and we’ll see ya soon!

Julio made our entire dining experience amazing! From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. He checked on us at the perfect times, made great recommendations, and made sure everything came out exactly how we wanted. You can tell he truly cares about his guests. This restaurant is very cute and has many good opportunities for photos. The customer service was excellent and the food was better. They seasoned the food very well and I found the price point to be reasonable.
