This place is just great. The food, service and atmosphere are all exceptional. You get a unique culinary experience in a contemporary, elevated space. I went last night for the second time on a friend-date, and we enjoyed the veal pasta, wagyu steak, scallop rockefeller, ricotta cheesecake, a few sides and a couple of drinks. Quality is amazing. The owner was also floating around and is so hospitable & passionate—you can tell he’s intentional about every detail of the place and menu. Thanks for taking care of us! Will definitely be back! Love the location, too.

I came across this gem while trying out the amazing pizza restaurant next-door. I saw they had a happy hour, which is one of my favorite activities and decided to meet up with a girlfriend to give it a try. Overall, I had a fabulous time and the atmosphere and restaurant is absolutely impeccable. Everything is clean, well laid out and the service was absolutely outstanding. I tried several of the bar bites, including the cheeseburger, pizza, truffle, fries, and fried okra. All were pretty good some a bit better than others but overall, I would say the star of the show was the cocktails. These were expertly crafted, incredibly delicious and presented beautifully

I came here for a birthday dinner and it was exquisite. The service was amazing, JT was so funny and great to speak with. Cary, the owner, was so welcoming and provided us so many details about how Fielding’s River Oaks came to be. You can tell he’s a master of his craft and pays great attention to detail. We were offered a tour of the kitchen and it was truly incredible to see where all the baked goods are prepared every morning and where the executive chef runs a tight ship. Every detail and action in the kitchen is intentional and that seeps into the experience provided.

For food we got the sirloin steak, bolognese, dashi broccoli, skillet bread, butter chicken, lamb chop and baby wedge. Everything was so good. I had absolutely no complaints about the food. The cocktails we got were also so scrumptious. We got the midnight mule, dirty martini (Galveston water dirty), golden hour spritz, and frozen watermelon. We also got to try their vodka based Frose which was soooo good.

For dessert we got the table side bananas foster and it was a HIT and so fun!

The food, drinks, vibes were all worth it!

I recently enjoyed a delightful Sunday brunch at Fieldings with cousins, and it was a fantastic experience! Our server, Tabby, was exceptional—her menu suggestions were spot on, and she took the time to walk us through all the options, which we truly appreciated. The cocktail flight options (mimosas, bloody mary’s and coffee) were impressive, offering a great variety, and the food was simply delicious. We enjoyed the skillet bread (must order) and I had the avocado toast. The love entertainment (he takes requests) added an extra special touch to our visit. Let me not forget to mention the table side-prepared bananas foster.

I’m definitely planning to return, especially after the wonderful kitchen tour. I was pleasantly surprised when the restaurant followed up the next day to check on my experience. That thoughtful gesture really stood out to me and confirmed my desire to come back and enjoy another meal there.

Our server JT was top notch and the kitchen staff made my medium well steak to perfection! The wedge salad was extraordinary and the in-house smoked bacon was absolutely incredible. We even enjoyed the zero proof passion punch. We will be back!

O. M. G. Every dish and drink was flavorful, balanced, and beautifully presented! We had several appetizers—crab cake, oysters, and beet salad that aren’t pictured, but to die for! We had the ravioli and branzino for lunch—totally returning to this gem! Vibe and service were on point too! kudos to the chef and the entire team—5 stars!! ❤️⭐️

My close friends treated me to lunch today at Fielding’s for my birthday. It had a great ambience and though there was a decent crowd, it wasn’t noisy.

The food selection was nice and had ample options to choose from for lunch. I had the Southwest turkey club with fries. It was a HUGE sandwich and I tend to have a big appetite, but only ate half…took the rest to go. I don’t drink alcohol, but had a mocktail and the Lychee Breeze drink was tasty. For those who do drink they have 25 cent martinis (2 limit max per person) on Fridays from 11-3pm. Server was cool and attentive.

Loved the ease of valet ($8) vs having to park in the parking garage.

It was my first time eating here and I will more than likely be back. Glad to add another good spot to my list of go-to restaurants.

This place was pretty good. We got the martini flight and pecan smoked old fashion which were both good. The beurre blanc was fantastic on the oysters and pearls, but it kind of over powers both oyster and caviar – so might be worth getting the beurre blanc on something else. The waiter was very knowledgeable, and great at guiding us through both drink choices and food.

For the mains, my hubs and I split the cowboy steak, which is a 32 oz ribeye cut. We ordered medium rare, it’s a big piece of meat cooked over fire so def the center was medium rare, tho the edges were medium well. The steaks come with a side and a sauce – we went with the lobster Mac, which is made with Gnocci, and was absolutely fantastic… I think there was a 1:3 lobster:gnocci ratio… so much lobster flavor!

The truffle butter also was fantastic, don’t miss that. Honestly everything here was fantastic, the steak was very well seasoned, if a lil overcooked. I’ll def come back and check out what else they have on the menu

Had the best time at Fielding’s River Oaks with my girl!! We tried so many different and delicious things like the A5 Japanese Wagyu Tiraditi, oysters, the crispy okra, the pumpkin ravioli, a ribeye with the best chimichurri I’ve EVER had!! Oooohhh and that cucumber Hugo Spritz (which is one of my favorites). Everything was done just right and we ate so goood!!!! I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Houston and I can’t wait to try all the things again!!

First time today and I sat with my daughter at a booth and my first impression was that the location is pretty but the service sucks since I was ignored and our first waiter said hi and never came back. However I stopped JT and asked him if he could help us and he took care of us for the whole brunch. He made my experience a lovely one, the food is great, but JT’ service was so exceptional that he will be the reason I will come back.
