Disappointing Customer Service at Potbelly – Pleasant Prairie
I’ve been a loyal customer, but after today’s experience, I won’t be returning to this location.
When I came in today, I ordered chicken pot pie soup. I immediately brought up an issue from my last visit – I had ordered chicken pot pie soup but received creamy broccoli (or another incorrect soup) instead. Rather than showing any concern or attempting to make things right, the manager’s first response was to ask, “Did you talk to me?” He then asked if I had called to complain when it happened.
I explained that no, I didn’t call – I’m here now, telling you about it in person. His response? He told me there was nothing he could do and that he wouldn’t replace the soup from my previous visit.
Fine. I told him to just charge me for today’s soup and that I’d make sure never to come back. As he was ringing me up, I asked him if he really thought a 65-year-old man would come into the store just trying to scam them out of a free cup of chicken soup.
The complete lack of empathy, the defensive attitude, and the unwillingness to make even a small gesture to retain a customer was astounding. Customer service used to mean something. A simple “I’m sorry that happened, let me make it right” would have kept me as a customer. Instead, they’ve lost one permanently.
This place is horrible. I will never be coming back.

Potbelly!! Is this what we doing now?? Cmon yall!! I’ve gone to this shop plenty of times with great service and good food. This is the worst! The oil from the sandwiches got on my car seats, carpet and all!! Since when do we not care anymore about our product??? You know better, so do better!!! Really disappointed! ♂️

Ok, went back got another sandwich that wasn’t leaking oil on my seats in the car(plus I took the older car this time ) and this below is what I got. The first two are before and the last three are after. I was told this is normal amount of oil for sandwich. Not true as I go at least three times a month. The supervisor was nice but to travel in the snow at night for a new sandwich and this is what they came up with… Just sad. Please check before you leave. Chalk this up as consumer fault as I usually check food before I leave but never had to when going to Potbelly. Really disappointed. ☹️

This potbelly is the best one I’ve been too. It’s super clean and the staff is very accommodating for food allergies. The manager AJ is a very down to earth and very customer oriented. The entire staff is there to serve you. We will be back again!

Came through the drive thru with my coworker at about 12:45 for 2 sandwiches and when we were getting our order taken the gentleman was flat out RUDE cut us off while ordering. When we got to the window they FORGOT my food and my co worker got his sandwich. We ordered a roast beef and an Italian originals with a cup of mac and cheese. The lady at the window was also RUDE, held onto my debit card the entire time while waiting for our food just to not get my sandwich and my coworker did. Threw the bag of food out the window and said “have a great day” and slammed the window. Never have i ever had bad experiences there but this ruined it for me and i will no longer be coming to this location again.

The salads didn’t look too fresh, but we ate everything and was sick all night. I am giving requested feedback and I don’t want any compensation.

Updated Review – 12/18/23: We had Potbelly’s delivered to the office for dinner during a meeting we were having. I could tell everyone liked the food by the way they ate almost everything before I had a chance to take pics. Lol. Everyone loves food from Potbelly’s! We had a selection of sandwiches, salad, chips, soup, and chili. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend Potbelly’s!

Poor service 11/11/2024, my mom picked up 2 sandwiches, a shake, and soup. One sandwich was clearly stated to only have mustard as its condiment NO MAYO. Sandwich stated to have no mayo (which was meant for me) had mayo, even though it was explicitly stated to have none since it makes me sick. Additionally the shake came without the cookie in it, and the staff seemed to be having an argument going on as yelling happened in the building.
Whatever happened for price of the meal I wish there was better service this night, and that things could be better sorted at this location for in the future.

Food was good and cooked the way it was ordered. However, if you’re going to cover the sink lids with stickers, at least use stickers I can take off and use a straw with. Spent 10 min trying to pick it off and ended up having to cut through it with a knife. Only seems to happen when you order ahead though, so drive through and dine-in are all good!
