We ordered tacos and a burrito. The service was quick and the food was prepared fresh. The taco portions are fairly large but the burrito seemed to be small.
The sauces they provided were good and flavorful.
If you live around the area and in the mood for Mexican food, it’s a good place to swing by.
I gave it three stars because of their prices… it’s expensive, especially since it’s mainly a take out place, there aren’t any waiters or extensive seating. I will admit I’m not from Long Island/NY area and my cost analysis is based on that.
Best deal here is the two tacos and chips for $13.

We ordered Spicy Roasted Pulled Chicken bowl (excellent), Grilled Chicken Burrito (Good) and Grilled Steak bowl. Overall everything was good but grilled steak lacks flavor. If you like spicy, you can ask them to make it a little bit spicy and juicy. However, I added hot sauce in it.

I’ve been here at least 10 times since they’ve opened shop. I’ve had pretty much every item on the menu. Each option is unique & distinct in its own way. They have plenty of appetizers & food options and allow you to customize as you’d like. All sauces are homemade and taste wonderful with each dish. The staff is composed of great friendly people. The owner will go out of his way to assure you enjoy your experience, that’s something you don’t get too often. Make sure you stop by as often as you can, you will not regret it!

We tried this place for the first time and I honestly can say we will be back for the amazing HALAL tacos this restaurant provides!!!!! We tried the beef, shrimp, steak and chicken tacos, with a side of salsa and chips. Then we quickly added chicken and beef empanadas (omg the chicken!!!!!) and some really cool drinks. Thennnn we topped it off with churros!!! Yummmmm so full we could barely walk and would highly recommend this place. The salsa is insane!!!!!!!! The staff are soooo pleasant! Thanks guys we will be back!

We made the trip to Black Pepper for a late lunch. The chef took our order over the phone and we had it in hand on time. The Grilled Steak and Spicy Chicken Tacos were the most fresh and balanced tacos we’ve had in a long time. Quesadillas tend to be overly-cheesy in most taquerias but all the quesadillas had great flavor profiles with just the right amount of cheese. Our favorite item on the menu was the Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla which was truly the right amount of spice, acid and freshness. Our taco combos came with chips and housemade salsa, one of the best we’ve ever had. The Beef Empanada was fried perfectly and had enough crunch and meat for every bite. Though the Pepper Chicken Burger left things to be desired, the Churros gave us the sweetness to finish off the meal strong. We chose to eat out as the dine-in space was cramped to fit the store profile, and we’re glad we did. Our impression walking away from Black Pepper was just like walking out of a beach-side taqueria in Southern California. From ordering to eating, all of us felt we found one of the most wonderfully-executed Mexican eateries on Long Island and we’ll be back again.

I’ve tried everything off the menu. It’s the only taco spot I go to & drive an hour for. The quality of their food has been consistently amazing for years .

I went to this place for the first time first instinct was to get tacos but decided to get teriyaki wings. I noticed that when the guy ring me up it said buffalo wings told him I didn’t want buffalo because it’s too spicy for me he said oh no I know it’ll be teriyaki. Got home took a bite and oh boy was that teriyaki wing so spicy I couldn’t eat it because what I revived was buffalo wings with teriyaki sauce poured over it had I known that I would’ve just stuck with my first choice, the wings also had a lot of feathers on them and they were very salty I don’t recommend it getting these wings maybe stick to tacos next I’ll know better

Absolutely delicious! We had chicken quesadillas as well as spicy chicken tacos. They were perfect. Last minute I ordered the melted Brie pretzel with fig sauce and it was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten. It seems I’ve found a new comfort food.

My friend had 3 tacos- chicken, shrimp and steak. She said they were a 5/5. I tried the Birria quesadilla and it was very good. The meat was tender and flavorful. It wasn’t too cheesy which was a big plus for me. Then we shared an order of fries.
Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly too. I would visit this place again if I’m back in the area.
Unfortunately we did not take pics. We were so hungry that we forgot.
