Impressions of the restaurant itself…great! It looks like its been renovated recently and well kept with maybe a few repairs cosmetically needed.
The staff was great and very attentive. They keep in line with the whole covid thing too.
The food we ordered;
Beef bulgogi. A bit tough, but the flavor is great. Not overbearing and just right. It came on a HUGE plate that my daughter handled very well considering she still passes as a teenager.
Mongolian beef. KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! The meat was tender, veggies perfect, flavor was on point, and size was just right. Dad almost had a fork fight with me over it.
Sunomono with Tako. Freshly made, octopus was definitely fresh and not rubbery.
Cala Cali. Another perfect dish. Calamari was tender and seasoned very well.
Red dragon roll. Hands down one of the best I have ever had, and I’ve been to many around the world. Roll size and slices were nice. Shrimp tempura was fresh.
Spicy tuna hand rolls. Another one that was the best I have ever had. You know its fast when the hand rolls get to you with the wrap still crispy. Not too spicy and not too mild.
Alaskan roll. This is probably why I had to drop it one star. I’d only ding a half star if possible, and not a full star. It really seemed to be missing on the fish and focused more on the veggies. Plus the roll size was way too big.
Usually I get a bit leary when it comes to restaurants that serve multiple culture foods. But I feel very happy and confident with this place. It has definitely given me a sense of hope for them. As a matter of fact…I’d definitely say its worth a trip to go from Bothell to Oak Harbor for it.

Best sushi on Whidbey Island. All of the rolls we tried were delicious, especially the unagi avocado handroll and the sunrise roll. If crab is your thing, the crab mountain roll is definitely a must have! The fried rice was excellent and they serve beer, wine, and sake, which is really nice.

This was my first visit to Harbor Sushi. I arrived at 4 pm on a Tuesday. There we’re only a few other tables occupied when I arrived. The dining room started filling up towards the end of our meal. Our server was attentive and other staff also kept our drinks full. We had gyoza and sushi. The gyoza was just the way I like it. Crispy. The sushi was fantastic. Fresh and full of wonderful, complimentary flavors. Simple presentation. We had no issues with our visit at the date and time that we went. We’ll definitely be going back to try other dishes.

It’s the 2nd time we decided to give this place another chance. The first time we came here, the waiter was so rude and mean to us, yikes horrible experience. So today we decided to try again; and got even more disappointed. The miso soup was good, but the dish came all disgusting and dirty with some white thing on the spoon, the bento box was OK and to finish our disappointment I ordered the hand roll salmon skin, which took our entire dinner to come to the table and the skin was burned. There’s a difference between crisp and burned. Seriously, don’t waste your time and money eating at this place, broke my heart to say that but it’s the true. I don’t even wanna put 1 star rating, for you guys to see all the disappointment …

Newly open restaurant. Overall it’s ok but need improvements. Their food turn around time is slow. We ordered some avocado and eel roll it it took approximately 20 minutes or more. I noticed there’s only one sushi chef at the counter and he is swamped with other orders. Maybe he’s a new chef? The quality of food is good. I had the the chicken teriyaki and it was delish. Chicken is cook all the way. Our server was very helpful and on top off everything else (minus the sushi roll). 20+ minutes pass by and we decided to make the sushi roll to go. Also, they ran out of tuna and salmon since yesterday. Hummm. Hopefully they get better in the future. If you are in a time crunch, I don’t recommend this place. Mickey Ds is across the street with fast service. ☹️☹️

First time visit, WILL be back! Definitely multiple Asian cuisines on the menu. Always searching for the best General Tsao’s Chicken. This might be at the top of my list!

While vacationing up here we were just looking for a place to get decent sushi and ramen. The sushi was every bit as good as we’re used to on the Gulf Coast and the ramen was fantastic. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good place for lunch.

I would like to give 3.5 stars if it’s available. It has good dining environment. Food is good but kind of expensive. Free parking available. Staff are friendly, food was delivered quickly.

Edible, but not great. The spicy tuna rolls were not much better than from a grocery store. The tuna belly was pretty good, but one of the pieces was gristly.
