I have been ordering from here for years and this is hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had in my life. The rice is always cooked perfectly, they are extremely generous with portion sizes (including the size of the cut pieces of fish and vegetables in the rolls), and they must have access to some magical avocado supply because they are consistently the most perfect ripeness, soft and flavourful but never mushy. Everyone I speak to is always so friendly and helpful, whether it’s on the phone, in the restaurant, or the delivery person. Delivery is always prompt or even early.

No dine in option. Just take out.
The sushi was so delicious. It does not break the budget compared to the other sushi places in Newmarket.
My family and I really enjoyed every piece of sushi tha we ate. The sashimi slices were so thick and fresh. They did not skimp out on the spices used.

Sushi Jun is me and my family’s favourite take-out sushi place. The rolls are always so delicious and never disappoint. Reasonable prices for good quality food. The dynamite roll is my favourite. I will definitely be back to order sushi!

I stopped by this neighborhood takeout sushi place without expecting much-suburban sushi can be a gamble- but I was pleasantly surprised. (Fyi- takeout only)

The sushi itself is fresh and neatly prepared. Fresh sushi and good ingredients. The signature rolls are worth a try. Also, the rice was on point. Anyone who eats sushi regularly knows that alone deserves a polite round of applause.

My first time to visit this restaurant. Ordered a Trio Platter (large, 94 pieces), including 40 pieces of sashimi, 16 pieces of sushi and 38 pieces of rolls. Chose this because of higher portion of sashimi.

Worthy for money in comparison to other sushi restaurants.

The sashimi is fresh and sweet. This supports what the owner says, that is, they use fresh sashimi everyday.

The rice portion of the sushi is just fit, not too much. Appreciate. This will not make you feel full too early.

This restaurant specializes in take-out. No dine-in. The owner is friendly.

The food quality makes it worthwhile to visit the restaurant again in future.

Having read so many positive reviews about this restaurant I went to get a rainbow roll to go but sincerely regretted it.

The rice was hard and tasted old.
The fish was not exactly covering the roll in some places and was shorter than the sushi. The roll was not round. The ingredients were not not fresh but definitely not fresh either.

The price listed on Google for the rainbow roll was 9.99 but it was 12 plus tax at the restaurant. I didn’t realize this until I had a bite of the sushi and was shocked this could be rated a 4.6 place and went back to w confirm if I ordered from the correct restaurant given the gap in expectations.

Overall a negative experience and would not recommend sushi lovers.

This is a gem of a location.

While it’s small and technically has a few seats it has some of the best food we have yet experienced. The owners take their business very seriously and it shows as it runs amazingly well. Pricing is pretty darn good!! If you are looking for high quality food at a good price this is the place. We will be back for sure.

The canned beverages are very cold which is always a bonus.

I really love the sushi here
First of all, the sushi rice—the foundation of good sushi—has an amazing texture.
The food is made with high-quality ingredients, and cleanliness is top-notch.
The owner and all the staff are very kind and friendly as well.
I highly recommend giving this place a try

We ordered a takeout platter along with miso soup and kanisu salad. Starting with the rice that was not fresh and hard. Sushi had no taste. The miso soup was OK at best. The Kanisu salad was a mass of fried doe with a shred of crab and two slices of unripened avocado. All and all the the food is not good. There are much better options available in newmarket and Aurora. Definitely would not recommend.

I ordered a chicken bento and a crabmeat salad…. I was told twenty minutes and it took a little over half a hour. The bento came with a miso soup which was half full. (The smaller of the bowls!) I’ve ordered from here before and it seems like the portions sizes are not worth the price.
The crab meat salad had a little bit of crab meat and more fried tempura bits which made the salad soggy and oily.
2/10. I won’t be returning.
