Reviews
The shepherds pie was nicely seasoned and the accompanying salad had a refreshing dressing.
The meat in the tri-tip was tender and delicious.
There was also board games at the back of the restaurant to entertain ourselves with while waiting for the food to arrive.
Overall very good!
We ordered burgers and salads, waited about 30 minutes, and then they completely forgot two of our burgers. When we asked, they just said they had forgotten.
Unorganized, slow, and disappointing. One star.
Lika’s is located of the main Street of downtown so it is a bit more quiet. It has indoor and outdoor seating. The beautiful weather made the outdoor much more attractive so this is where we sat. When we arrived we were not greeted or seated and had to ask how it works. They handed us a couple menus and told us to sit anywhere we wanted. Service here was really slow. I mean… Really slow. Over 10 minutes to get water, another 15 to have our order taken, and then a half hour to get the food to the point where I saw others who came after us receive their food before ours arrived. When I saw this I got up to ask where our food was and saw them bringing it out so said nothing.
My wife ordered the breakfast croissant which came with potatoes and I got the 3 egg omelette. Also came with potatoes. People, the food is good. Overall comment here is that the breakfast croissant is so oily, my wife had to eat it fork and knife style. The potatoes are like mashed potato balls and come with it’s own special mayo dip. The omelette was good but omelettes almost everywhere are very similar and this is no different. Nothing special to make it stand out from other well made omelettes.
In the end, the atmosphere is really chill and nice. When we were served and waited on they were very friendly and polite. But this place is sssslooooww. Even when I went to pay the cashier was so relaxed. Our eating neighbor asked us if we liked the food to which we said yes and she said she has lived there for years and is obsessed with the food but you come knowing you will need to be patient.
Try it but do it when you have no plans or a lot of time to be chill.
It is worth the wait but not for 45 minutes for 2 orders of burger. We dined in around 2pm and they don’t have full tables.
Overall, I still recommend it.
