I really like that they ask people to pay first and then stop at the hand wash station before entering the buffet. The buffet price comes with a fountain soda of choice.
Really enjoyed their jerk chicken, cabbage, candied yams, rasta pasta, and plantains as my top dishes. Oxtail is not included in the buffet but is available – you scoop out what you want onto a separate container which gets weighed and priced accordingly. I paid for 2 pieces and the oxtail was super tender and flavorful.
For dessert they had some fruits and a couple of cake options as well as banana pudding. I had their soft serve ice cream which was vanilla, vanilla/strawberry mix, or strawberry. If I could change something, I wish they had small bowls for the ice cream and not only the cones.
Definitely come here for delicious food and come hungry! You won’t be disappointed.
My family and I visited today at around 4pm. The food wasn’t good at all, it was all cold, The small amount plantains left over were dry or old from earlier that day, fruit-tray was empty, jerk chicken, curry and I forgot the other chicken I had were all cold. The mac and cheese didn’t taste like anything. The cabbage, rice and peas were ok but also cold. No one came to our table to bring drinks in which they have the last few times we have been here.We also had to throw away our own plate (in which someone usually comes by to pick up) It seems as if they were short staffed but still no excuse for food being cold.
The only person behind the counter, the lighter skinned lady (one of the owners or manager I’m assuming) is nice but still no excuse for the food to have been cold. Also, personnel from the kitchen (who replenish the food) came out a few times but not sure why?!
I love supporting “our” community so I’m hoping this issue will be addressed!
I’m also a little confused on why tea refills are now extra?!
Taking a break from there for now, but will give them one more try in the future!!
My husband and I recently discovered JamRok, an all-you-can-eat Caribbean restaurant in Clarksville, TN, and let me tell you this place is an absolute game-changer. We’ve been to countless restaurants over the years literally millions but JamRok stands out as the best dining experience we’ve ever had.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The decor gives you tropical island vibes, and the music playlist was perfectly curated, setting the mood with smooth R&B, classics , and Caribbean classics that made you want to dance in your seat.
Now let’s talk about the food because wow. Everything was fresh, tender, and seasoned to perfection. We tried every single dish, from jerk chicken, and curry goat to rice and peas, fried plantains, and yams . Each bite was full of flavor and cooked with authentic Caribbean soul. You could tell the chefs take pride in their heritage and put love into every dish.
But the real surprise? The banana pudding. Hands down, the best we’ve ever tasted. Creamy, rich, and just the right amount of sweetness it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.
