This is my new go-to spot for quick Italian-American food! The staff is always very sweet and helpful, and the restaurant is consistently quite clean. The food is ready quickly within the specified time frame, always well-prepared, and still hot on pickup. The quality is good and completely sufficient for a fast, satisfying meal of Italian-American comfort food. Considering its location in/near Center City, the price point is actually affordable, and the portions are large to boot. I highly recommend LaScala’s for a tasty, reliable, and affordable meal in the Gayborhood/Hawthorne!

Our first time ordering from this restaurant and we ordered sweet and spicy chicken pizza, the chicken San Remo entree, and chicken cutlet fingers. I must say that this is by far the best pasta I’ve ever eaten from a restaurant. The linguine was cooked perfectly and the vodka sauce was chefs kiss. The chicken cutlets and the cheese fries were to die for. I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking good Italian food.

Let me just start out by saying that the food is great, especially the pasta, however, I am giving this place a 1-star rating for their terrible customer service. I ordered through Grubhub and LaScala uses their own driver to deliver the food. I don’t know how their system works, but they used an old and incorrect address for my order (which didn’t match Grubhub’s info). When I informed the driver about the mistake, the driver proceeded to argue with me and hung up on me. After calling the restaurant, finally receiving it, and starting to eat the now-lukewarm pasta, I realized that they didn’t even add the meatballs that are supposed to come on the dish (see image below); for a ~$20 pasta dish, you’d think that they’d take a little more time to make sure that the correct items are included. The taste of the food is not enough to make me order from this location again; no customer should be treated this way.

I ordered $1,500 of catering and they left without the extra trays of water so when we turned the sternos on everything started smoking and the food got burnt. They came back once I called but there was zero sympathy and the food was already ruined. Embarrassing for a client event I was hosting.

SEAFOOD PASTA IS THE BOMB!!!!!!!!! SUPER SAUCY (who wants dry pasta), FRESH SEAFOOD AND THE PASTA IS ALDENTE.
Due to COVID-19 and not being able to sit inside, while its a bit chilly, outdoor seating was kindly offered.
Customer service was great. The guy at the cashier was patient and cool. He made sure there was No shrimp in my pasta (allergic )
Buffalo wings are yummy and hot lol…
