The food was of course wonderful. Everything was like a meticulously perfected version of anything you’d be craving (like their other restaurant, Zurito, next door). If you’re craving suppli, this will be the exact one your heart was asking for. You might think you know the Caesar salad you’re hoping for in your mind but I promise this is better. The vodka pasta is the grown up version you DESERVE. And the pizza is like a gateway drug into (un?)fortunately needing to try all of them.
And somehow on top of all that, they manage to have the most incredible people working there. We would follow Jen and Nader to the ends of the earth. They’re a reminder not just of what hospitality is supposed to feel like, but what community is supposed to be. The whole staff there is absolutely wonderful.
I am already so grateful Willie’s exists and as soon as left, I was already daydreaming about all the future, lovely evenings there to come.
