Now, my tried and true at Jon’s Grille that always brings me back, though, is not the food. It is the spiked Toasted Marshmallow milkshake. It is worth every penny. It is DELICIOUS. I’ve never had the other shakes, but I’m sure they’re great, too.
For late night food, my personal preference will always be Buffalo Bros across the street, as you get more for your money and I think it is just my preference, but I really like Jon’s Grille for a late night dessert. Highly recommend the shake!
Thanks Jon’s Grille
Teresa was kind enough to guide us through our first experience at Jon’s Grill. She was great! (And very patient.) It was early afternoon on a Sunday so the place was pretty empty. There are several unique cocktail options and I enjoyed the West Texas spritzer, which was so refreshing. I also had an amazing triple berry cider that was so delicious and not too sweet which is just right for me.
We started with fried pickles and spicy ranch dressing. I had a yummy traditional cheeseburger while my partner had a Caprice Burger complete with balsamic onions and garlic/basil aioli and we both had fries (with the skin on them.)
I’m not a big dessert person but I saw banana pudding with wafers and we had to try it. I haven’t had it since I was a teenager when my grandma would make it. Very delicious! Very sweet, very flavorful and the delightful end to our meal.
We had ‘food coma’ so needless to say we had to have a nap when we got home. Great experience and will definitely return again because there were so many other things we want to try.
Edit: some say this place is overpriced, but I disagree. Build your own burger for $14 with FRESH hot fries! Perfect lunch option.
We started with the burnt ends and corn fritters. They were both very good.
My wife and I shared the panther city burger. I’d say if I’m the top three burgers I’ve ever had! Very good burger. Our friends got the salad and potato both of witch they liked.
The milk shake looked really good as well.
