Great food and service! The baked beans could be better, but that’s just personal preference I suppose. Amazing brisket and pulled pork!

My absolute favorite barbecue place. The pulled pork is done to perfection and the barbecue sauce selections are perfect. I love their fries and coleslaw. Baked beans are really good too. Everyone who works here is very friendly and eager to serve you. Never much of a wait and lots of places to sit. I highly recommend this place!

Went on a weekday for lunch after a hike, and the food hit the spot. We weren’t that hungry, so the brisket plate with two sides and banana pudding was the perfect amount of food split between two people. Banana pudding was amazing! Very casual eatery. If you’re looking for good North Georgia BBQ, this is it.

By far some of the best BBQ I’ve had in a while. Prices are just right, This place is worth your money. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. I got the turkey plate and a “porker” pulled pork sand which. Turkey was phenomenal and the sandwich was stuffed and absolutely delicious. I wish I could add a photo but I tore that food up. The ONLY issue is that they don’t have cornbread, that’s it. 10/10 if I could.

got there at noon- no ribs, chicken tenders, collards, or dressing cups (dressing was randomly wrapped in plastic wrap??). the food we did get (pork, brisket plates) was very sub par sadly, lacked seasoning, bland sides, not good. sweet tea wasn’t sweet. everything’s running low or out. it was just a very sad place. went because or the 4.5 stars. had to write a review so you won’t make the same mistake!

Went in here after a hefty hike and this was just what we needed. Amazing crispy but tender pork sandwich. Fantastic sauces. Also – let’s talk about the bun. Buns don’t make a sandwich but if it’s too little bread or too much, or it falls apart- a bun can break a sandwich. Not here. Perfect buns. Fantastic Homemade potato salad. AMAZING BANANA PUDDING.
What a spot.

First off they were out of everything that we wanted, everything we got was not good. They claimed the ribs were big and meaty. They were thin and dry, they were sitting out. Baked beans were hard and dry.
Got accused of stealing soda when we requested water and got water. Should have went to rib country. The cashiers were aggravated for some reason maybe bc we were dining Im not really sure. Spent $70 in this restaurant and won’t be back.
EDIT: Went to Walmart after going to this establishment. And the younger one that’s had her teeth and no bruises on her face, (older employee had bruises on her face and no teeth) so the younger one approached me at my car. Said EXCUSE ME… DID U HAVE YOUR SON SPILL THE SODA THAT YOU STOLE ON THE GROUND INTENTIONALLY? YOU COULD HAVE TOLD US SO WE CLEAN IT…
I replied. No actually it was an accident and I’m sure you cleaned it bc it’s your job.
And the food was trash, she said YOU ate it right? I did eat it bc I didn’t 70 on that garbage. I’m happy I got teeth to chew it.
And just so you know it’s not safe for you to approach ppl at their car. You’re lucky it wasn’t someone else. This is incident was recorded.

Located close in Cleveland, near Yonah mountain, is a good BBQ place. The St. Louis style ribs were cooked nicely and the same for the brisket, mac and cheese and fries. There isn’t a lot of options for bbq sauces, but what they had was good. This is a place for families or those dropping by after visiting the nearby sites. It’s a solid choice in the North GA mountains.

We were looking for a new BBQ place and have we found a great place. Hidden gem in a strip mall but you will know where to go. Just look for all the cars. Great BBQ selection and obviously tried the house favorite which is Pigmelt. I forgot to take a pic but I did take a pic of the pork sandwich with coleslaw and Mac n Cheese. It was more than enough and had great smoke ring on the pork. The sides are just as delicious. They did have another great special which was Sticky Ribs and they looked great. Overall a place you will enjoy with great food and Service.

I am an out of towner who has made it a point to stop at North GA BBQ every yearly visit for over 10 years now. Was bummed when the Helen location closed, but tried the Cleveland location and the pigmelt is just as delicious 15 minutes down the road as it was in Helen. The mac n cheese was also unique and was a great creamy goodness to pair with the pigmelt. If you’re in the area or traveling/visiting like me, you’ll never regret stopping by for some bbq. Don’t play yourself by skipping the pigmelt, that would be your only mistake!
Update in November 2024:
Returned to one of my favorite bbq places and got the pigmelt I always salivate over, which delivered, as expected! Baked beans were yummy and mac n cheese that was subtle and creamy. Their sides are all delicious and make sure you don’t forget that pigmelt!
