My mother and I arrived at 6:50pm on Feb 8, 2026. We ordered our food. Mom ordered a coffee. Mom said coffee tasted like hot water. I told the waitress (who acted like she was on drugs) and she said okay. No I’ll make a fresh pot or sorry. It was 7:15pm and the food hadn’t arrived. Good thing, we were never given utensils. I called the waitress over and asked where our food was. The waitress said “I don’t know.” The waitress stood there for a few minutes and I said “Can you check on it for us.” She said “OK”. About ten minutes later we received our food and utensils after having to ask for utensils. When we got the bill, we were charged for a coffee and a tea (which we didn’t order a tea). I tried to show my concern to the manager on duty but he was too busy to listen to me.

I got the 1/2 lb fried shrimp and substituted steamed vegetables instead of fries. I didn’t want the slaw it came with, so I gave it away. The shrimp was really good. Actually a lot better than I expected. It came with three hushpuppies, which were good, but overcooked. I didn’t order the salad bar at first, but when I saw everyone else coming back with salads and realized how many options there were, I had to get one. Although, I dont think they had enough dressing options. Not even an Italian or vinegerette. Other than that, I really liked the salad bar. The server had to be tracked down or called over when we saw her at another table every time we needed anything. There were two other tables in our section and she seemed attentive to them, but not us for whatever reason. We had a party of six adults and one little baby. The baby couldn’t eat yet, so she just sat there being cute. Everyone else got steaks, baked potatoes, and salads. I didn’t hear any complaints, so I assume they liked their meals too. So yeah, over all a good experience, except the waitress could have been more attentive to our table.

So, traveling to a family reunion in Ocean City, Maryland. We spent the night in Henderson NC. Found this steak house. Simple, low key, pleasant restaurant. The service was good, everyone friendly. Onto the food. Wow awesome steaks. The ribeye and filet mignon were great. Some of the best steak we all have had in a long long time. The sear was perfect, a thing of beauty. All them done to medium rare. Tender and delicious. The sides were fine and the salad bar was good but the star here is the steaks. Definitely check out this place if your in the area or passing through.

Good steak that was cooked perfectly. It’s an understated place with dated early 1980’s decor but good food and great service. If you’re looking for white tablecloths and a sommelier, this is definitely not your place…but if you want a decent ribeye cooked properly, a decent pour, great service and a fair price then you’re in luck.

Lovely music in background. Totally amazing salad bar to start you off. Wait staff excellent. Sweet potato steamy hot and soft and delicious. Ribeye – Asked for med rare and got medium. 1/3 of steak was tough. Lacking on the beef flavor I like.

Part of a group of 26 with reservations, so the management had ample time to prepare for us. Food was above average, server was adequate. Half of our party was served in a timely manner. The second half waited an hour after ordering before receiving their food. Truly disappointing.

Came in a few months ago and had a bad experience(didn’t think it could get worse). Ordered a prime rib(Sundays only) with a baked potato. The potato was the best thing I got. The steak was very dry, complementary texas toast was very cold, and the wait time was over 30 minutes. So I figured they had a bad night or something.
Last week I decided to come back and give it another try. When I arrived, there were maybe 10 customers in the store. My waitress was very friendly and very attentive. I decided to come on Sunday and get the prime rib with a potato, for another shot. Where I was seated, I could see directly behind the counter where the cook(Younger guy with beard) was preparing the dishes. I would think that with the restaurant being pretty empty, I would get my food relatively quick…….Nope. I was watching the cook, however he was chatting with a young waitress and constantly looking on his phone. After 45 min passed, I finally received my food and it was a disaster. The steak was 3/4 of straight fat, dry and had no flavor. The potato was cold as ice and they had no Au Jus sauce(this was around 5:30). I overheard the customers next to us complaining of their chicken being raw and undercooked. The best thing about the place were the lovely and friendly waitresses.
I will not be going back for as I was very disappointed. Plus, the cook was not wearing any gloves when preparing the food. I paid $44 for a very unpleasant dinner.

Service was very warm and welcoming. I got the ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned expertly. The baked potato was solid and the salad bar was fresh and also great.

Walked out of restaurant. Waittress acted like k e she didn’t want to be there. Ordered drinks 15 mis later no drinks. flagged down waitress she said the person who made drinks was cooking? Used to be a great place to eat. Gone to Heck now.
