A very sushi place and local favorite. We came in for lunch in party of 3 and we enjoyed our dining experience. Big thanks for our server at the time, Ms Quynh and her service. Good place and easy for a quick lunch aa group or individual. The menu is easy and prices are reasonable. The restaurant is clean and they use fresh ingredients. Definitely we will come back for some more sushi and bento box. Highly recommended by locals and for sushi lovers.

The food wasn’t bad. It was fresh and had good flavor. The udon was great. It’s just that we ordered the omakase, and we basically received a sample of the sushi from the menu (salmon, tuna, shrimp, etc). We just had higher expectations. Plus service was a bit slow.

There was barely any soup with the udon. We asked for a little more broth, but it didn’t arrive until after we had already finished eating. Also, the kid’s beef teriyaki was very tough—almost like rubber. Shrimp should be better choice. Their role is decent. They serve better during week days.

We went in tonight and had just an absolutely terrific server who provided great service. It was so busy with dine in guests and the carry out orders were non-stop. Landon was the only one working and he did a fantastic job. Quick, communicative, and on top of everything. We will be coming back 🙂

The service the food the atmosphere was phenomenal. Unmatched for Dallas by far. I travel a lot and had sushi all over the US and I can promise you; you will not make any mistake ordering off this menu. Quality very fresh fish all around. Their yum yum sauce is not heavy like most and it’s very smooth taste; I can almost drink it.
Great family restaurant and date night place. Their music choice set the whole mood.

Second time visiting Sushi Maru, and yup, it’s great!
We ordered veggie tempura, Las Vegas roll, and Crawfish Baked roll. It was all fresh and delicious. Definitely ate way too much because it’s hard to stop! I appreciated the variety of “cooked” rolls as I’m not into raw fish.
The service was extremely friendly and attentive. They checked with us multiple times and even offered to adjust the thermostat to ensure I felt comfortable! That’s unheard of but so appreciated.
I do wish they served sparkling water such as Topo Chico or Pellagrino, but given everything else, I can easily overlook this.
Definitely recommend checking it out!

Food was solid. Sushi chef behind the counter was great to chat with and made me a roll with mackerel and jalapeño that was the bomb.
Of the two waitresses I got the wrong one.
