Atmosphere is subpar if not for the clientele this place attracts. Pretty bland.. non inviting. Food is very average and nothing stood out unfortunately. Cocktails were slightly above average. The signature food of chicken tortilla soup is probably the worse you can ever get. If anything service is great and it’s the only saving grace: to the chef- how do you get away with this sub par food! The only reason of your success- it’s the location. Do better

The entire menu is GLUTEN FREE!!! Breaded fried stuffed chile relleno, street tacos and the shrimp Charles something or other. Fresh food and drinks. I’m in love…

Really had an amazing meal on our way to Florida. First time since I found out I have Celiac’s that I went out for Mexican food and they didn’t disappoint. James was an amazing waiter and his suggestions were spot on. The ceviche was sooo good and we had an amazing dinner.

During my recent travels through Shreveport, I discovered El Cabo Verde, and I can confidently say it was an incredible find! This restaurant is 100% gluten-free, which was a dream come true for me. The food was bursting with flavor, and everything is made from organic, non-GMO ingredients.
Our server, Alan, was fantastic. He recommended the Sunday special, Tenderloin Enchiladas, paired with potatoes and beans. I opted to swap the beans for roasted veggies—carrots, zucchini, asparagus, and mushrooms—which I truly appreciated.
My family, who do not follow a gluten-free diet, ordered the Chicken Enchiladas and Enchilada Mexicans. They could not stop raving about the deliciousness of their meals!
Overall, El Cabo Verde is a safe, flavorful dining option for anyone seeking healthy, gluten-free meals. I highly recommend it!

This is not just a restaurant it’s an experience. You you have acquired a palate that craves clean exceptional ingredients then this is your spot. The food speaks for it self. But the staff deserves accolades, these folks provide service with the most gracious demeanor and of the smiles are nice too. The staff makes you feel like your are dinning with extended family. Angelo, often waits on me, and I can not say anything other thank you, thank you for always exceeding my expectations and that’s no small order

This place has been on my radar for some time but it was never convenient to get to. On this day, I happened to be working in the area and seized the opportunity.
First of all, this is a very nice place. It’s not your typical overly colorful Mexican restaurant. It’s a very classy place decked out in white. Service was excellent with very friendly and helpful staff.
The chips & salsa were brought out quickly along with my obligatory Mexican food drink of sweet tea with some lime. To tell you the level of service, every time they refilled my tea, they made sure I had more lime to go with it. I’ve rarely seen this level of service especially in a Mexican restaurant. In most places I get some lime with the initial glass but none for the refills. The chips were not typical and definitely tasted healthier than most. I love places that bring multiple salsas and El Cabo brings you both a red and a green salsa. A uniqueness to the salsas were they served warm much like the Pappasitos chain does. I thoroughly enjoyed the salsas. I would rank them some of the best in the Shreveport area.
I ordered one of the enchilada lunch plates and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is organic which you don’t find in many Mexican joints.
This place definitely has a foodie vibe to it and I can’t wait to go back with my wife and try more dishes. It may become my top rated Mexican food in Shreveport but I need to try more of the menu first.

I was in Shreveport for approximately 3 weeks for business and this place was hands down, top two restaurants we visited. Servers were very quick with having chips and salsa as soon as we sat down, drinks were reasonably priced and SO delicious, food was fresh. I got the fish dinner, plantains, and shrimp salad and would go back to order the same exact thing if I could. The fish was a little salty, but that is my personal taste, I’m sure it would have been fine for most people. They also had patio seating which would be cute for warmer days. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would.

Okay, so very complicated review. They pride themselves on organic food…. but… a lot of main dishes were lacking flavor. They claimed they pulled cilantro off their menu. HOW you can pull cilantro from a Mexican Restaurant seems absurd. I got street tacos and expected onions and cilantro. None. My wife ordered the chicken tortilla soup and was lacking salt, lime, and cilantro. Very one-dimensional.
NOW, what I WILL recommend… THE GREEN SALSA, CHIPS, GUAC AND QUESO SAMPLER ARE TO DIE FOR! Very kind and helpful staff talked to the waiter and manager to find out this info. So, maybe one day we will go back and try again.

One of the best places to eat in Shreveport. The atmosphere and service are excellent. I’m always amazed at how kind they are to our small children since it is a little bit nicer than most places we would go with our kids. Aways enjoy the food and everything about this place!

Fabulous atmosphere, great service and some of the cleanest, freshest food ever! I love that everything is house made with local ingredients. Dishes were also plated beautifully to perfection! My Son is stationed nearby at Barksdale AFB and you can bet the bank we will return on every visit!
