The food was over all good! Their specials are phenomenal, but the pierogi themselves were hit-or miss. The sweet cheese was tasty, but the sweet cheese potato made my taste buds confused and angry. On top of that, I got most of the fruit pierogi to-go but then decided to eat them in the restaurant immediately, their textures were undercooked and did not taste good at all. I would strongly suggest dining in over getting takeout. The beet salad was tasty though. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was pretty good. Over all, would go back, but only for the loaded pierogi and some beet salad.

Always check hours online – and watch your step when you walk in the front door. There are a ton of food items on this menu – including a refrigerated section for soup, frozen pierogies, and there are other salads and desserts.

You do get a discount if you pay in CASH.

I tried some pierogis – potato and sweet cheese. They appear to be fried as they are a bit crunchy, but I like them like that. They are pretty full pierogis. You can order them frozen to go home and cook on your own – or have them cooked to order.

I also got the order of polish sausage w/kraut and some fries. The polish sausage is snappy and the kraut is great. The bun I could do without, but I just removed it and ate on it’s own. The fries were salty with a mix of crispy and soggy ones.

I will definitely be back to try more options and more pierogis!

Inside is small, but they added some extra eating in the room next door. You can dine in if you wish, it never seemed too crowded.

They have the best pierogis around. And their smoked sausage is like the kind we had when we are growing up absolutely tasty. Great prices and very friendly employees.

Delicious, quick, inexpensive and easy parking…what more could you want from a small, local restaurant. We recommend the loaded potato pierogi to start. We will be back to try other pierogi flavors (about 8 different ones if I remember correctly). Canned beverages and slices of yummy desserts also available. Dine in, take it to go and frozen foods for a later meal are all available.

Wow what can I say. I got their stuffed cabbage and loaded potato all for under $10. The loaded potato was my favorite. It so much flavor and I want to comeback for more. Nice staff with enough space for a quick dine in. A gem of a place in Highland, IN.

Visited Dan’s this weekend. Needed my polish food fix. First time being here. It was pretty good not blow my socks off but not bad. We ordered the stuffed cabbage kinda bland to me and meat was really over cooked just kinda mush. We also got the stuffed pepper soup witch was okay. For pierogies we got potato and cheese, meat, and cabbage they were also okay. I like my pierogies with alot of butter like most places and people like them but here my pierogies were dry. But the pierogies had decent flavor probably the best thing we ordered. Then desert was the blue berry pierogies and those were also good. I would reccomend it as we dont have much to choose from out here for polish food.

Amazing pierogies; I also had a pulled pork sandwich which was excellent. We stopped on a visit to Highland and left happy full with frozen pierogies, stuffed peppers, some soup and a couple of types of sausages. We will definitely be back.

Definitely 5 stars.. everything about Dan’s Pierogies is top notch..the food. the atmosphere. the customer service. Drove up from Kentucky for a weekend visit and stopped in for an early Saturday dinner.. the BEST POLISH FOOD EVER!!! My wife is a very picky eater and she enjoyed the potato pierogies and a Polish sausage, plain, and ate every bite. Highly recommend .

A small store front type place packed with lots of flavor. The staff was as awesome as the pierogi! My favorite was the mushroom but they were all great. My husband had a pulled pork sandwich, also awesome.
