This was the worst piece of halibut that I have ever eaten. The fish was so thin and the breading was so thick you could not even taste the fish. The breading was not even cooked all the way so it was super gummy. Very disappointing. Rest of the experience was fine. I get that food costs are up but this is not acceptable. I see others complaining about it as well. Wish I would have looked at the reviews before I went. I couldn’t even finish it was so bad.

Great location, I ordered the Rock fish and chips $14/15. I placed an order to go. Wasn’t a long wait. My Food was hot and crispy. The Prices are competitive I feel. Everything everywhere is pricey, doesn’t matter where you go.. the Staff was super friendly and very helpful, very patient at answering my questions, overall enjoyable experience. Very clean, and lots of parking. I Would eat here again.

Do not order Halibut!!!!!
I did a Cod vs. Halibut battle.
The cod was delicious — a thick slice of fish with a reasonable amount of breading.
The halibut, on the other hand, was a waste. I feel bad for the wasted fish — thick layers of bready crumbs and a thin slice of fish left the dish with zero flavor.
Thank God the Spud Double IPA made up for it.

I read the reviews before coming here and was worried. But, despite those, while waiting in line for the ferry. This place hit the spot. Food is made to order and right in front of you as well. Staff were super friendly. And they had pinball in the back. This place is superb and the food was great. Even got a little small piece extra of cod.

Food was decent but nothing special. Food was hot and fresh. I got the fish and chips, and the fish pieces were huge which was good. prices are a little higher than average for fast food. Unfortunately no gluten free options. Fish tacos were yummy.

I don’t understand the low rating on this place. We tried their cod fish and chips and it was delicious, prices are competitive and the staff is friendly. We will definitely come back!

I have eaten at three different locations and enjoyed the food. I stopped in Edmonds on a recent trip and ordered class and chips. Clam were not crispy like I had at other Spuds. Clams tasted like they were undercooked. When I mentioned my experience with others at the meeting who live in the area they did not have anything good to say about Spuds. I hope maybe I just got a bad datch.

We moved from West Seattle so we were excited to see Spud’s in Edmonds. The food was great! My favorite were the fried oysters which were surprisingly bigger than expected and came with 4 pieces (not pictured since they was inhaled quickly) and fried mushrooms which were delicious and juicy. The owners are wonderful and very sweet people. Will come back again!

You know those times when you are just planning on “figuring it out when you get there” for a lunch and you stumble upon an absolute gem?! We had a moment like that when we stumbled upon Spuds. We were visiting family and took the ferry over to see some family before heading back over to the peninsula to visit with other family over Thanksgiving break. This restaurant is really close to the ferry terminal and an easy walk. We had six young kids with us and a handful of adults. The staff was extremely patient and friendly and went out of the way to take care of our wild pack of animals.
I was impressed by their attitudes and their food was delicious. I had been craving some fish and chips and they had it in spades! Plus all the additional condiments you’d want and ones you didn’t know you wanted until you saw they had it (that was the garlic aioli for me!). I was very impressed and have now made this “my spot” anytime I’m out there visiting.
The atmosphere is so fun and the decorations are great. We loved the pinball machines a lot as well.
I highly recommend this for getting some fish and chips or a quick bite while waiting for the ferry. The service was very speedy as well.

Great fish and chips shop down by the ferry and waterfront. In our experience they have large portions and the food has been great for a fry. This time I tried the fried chicken sandwich and it was great.
