This was my very first time eating here. I must say all of the food was absolutely great!! I was blown away by how amazing everything was!! The blueberry pancake, home fries and bacon was absolutely awesome!! Will most definitely be coming back!! Highly recommend for anybody that has never been there to go and try it!! You will not be disappointed.

Hands down. If you want a good and cheap breakfast then Barlows is the way to go. You also can’t go wrong with their specials either. My mom and I used to go there for years till she passed away. I had to eventually move out north and haven’t been there in years. My fiance want such a experience of small town kitchen/diner. We made the hour trip down telling her how I loved this place and that it was bit out of way but worth it.
Sadly. We didn’t quite get that experience. She order the hungry man meal, which granted it’s a beast of a breakfast. I ordered the special and both meals were good. But our waitress seem to think we were up to something and judged us as not genuine customers. Yes we are not regulars and forgot they only take cash and checks. Still though, after getting our bill, I informed my gal that I’ll have to go next door to atm to get cash. She said okay and was still eating her food. As I left, she had to go to restroom and passed waitress. As soon as she got out of restroom her food was gone from the table… half order of biscuits and gravy not even touch yet.
Threw all silverware in our glasses that were still full as well.
Most places I been to in my life don’t just bus the table and fiddle with stuff unless the bill is paid and tip. The place wasn’t even busy and wasted our food that we were going to take with us. It was sad and unprofessional. I like to point my gal never left the place just to restroom and passed the waitress. Hope their regulars stay because they’re not going to be getting any new customers unless they update their point of sales system and be more inviting to new customers.

This place was amazing! Great price for a huge meal. I had the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. It was all delicious! Probably the best country fried steak I’ve ever had. My server was very nice. The food came out quickly too. The perfect spot for a quick lunch break on a long trip or during the work day. I plan to come back on future work trips!

Food gets done lightning fast, which kind of makes me wonder just kidding. The food is definitely amazing. Servers are really nice and they don’t loaf around or anything. They’re on top of refills, condiments, boxes, checks, etc. Very friendly. With they’d switch up the over rated Americana decor, though. Only complaint!
