I’ve been here multiple times this past summer. Love the chips and guacamole. Some of the best I’ve hand. Usually would get the steak tacos. Great flavor, the pieces were just a bit to big most of the time and to many fat pieces for my liking as well. Definitely expect to pay downtown chicago summer prices.

Location location location!! This place has an amazing view and an amazing vibe. The food is just ok but I guess for the price and location is kind of worth it
The food is not bad but honestly it needs more seasoning. They definitely can fixed that.

The food was very tasty. The beer was cold. My beef tacos were great. The atmosphere is chill and our server was pleasant. A hidden service fee ruined what would have been a good experience sitting outside, watching river traffic float past. It’s pricey: 2 beers cost $24. We had 3 tacos for $13 and another plate with 2 tacos for $12.
Be aware that a 15% service fee is added to the total bill. Then a tip (defaulting to 25%) is requested on top of a subtotal that already includes the service fee, and that all seems designed to take advantage of tourists.

It’s a cool place, but nothing spectacular. The food was ok, I had a steak burrito bowl and it had veggies in it and my meat was a bit fatty, so a lot of mushy which I didn’t like. The drinks were ok, mine sat because the waitress says she didn’t know but I got a text saying my drinks were ready and on the way to my table but after waiting nearly 10 minutes I went up to the bar area and there they were melting away. There was also so many spiders and I understand that we are by the water, but under the tables were not clean so at my table a huge spider crawled out and when I looked under you could see that under the table is not kept clean so that was it for me and I left. May go back again but not when it’s so hot and no so late. Beautiful view of Navy Pier and the river!

The veggie tacos, and shrimp tacos were very tasty. My dining companion said that the steak burrito was the best burrito he’s had in six months or more (and we live in California, San Francisco Mission District home of the burrito)! Ambience was fun – watching all the boat tours cruise by. Good music, tasty margaritas. Was a little more expensive than I would expect for a taco shack, but considering it was so tasty, no complaints. Would come back if I’m in the area again.

The nachos I had were not good and the frozen strawberry margarita was very strong. I did try to get different food because I really didn’t like the nachos but they said they couldn’t and I would have to repay so unfortunately it was money down the drain for me. The customer service was not very good either 🙁 however the vibe of the restaurant is cute and I got lots of cute pics lol
Also I got nachos and a 12 oz frozen strawberry margarita. There was a service fee and I still tipped $3 my total was $36
Just being transparent about price, it’s not surprising considering it’s on the river walk but I want others to be aware.

This is a nice place to stop by whenever you’re in the mood for a quick and relaxing meal. The chicken tacos with the feta cheese was so good. I do not recommend getting the 4 tier drinks because it was a disappointment but I do recommend the pitcher if you are looking to drink something for more than 3 people.

830pm tonight. 65 out. Gent with dreads tried to take my food. I let him know i was still enjoying as my plate and cup were still 75% full. Then he stared and asked for the tray it came on? I spent over $50 on 3 tacos, a elote, and 1 glass of wine. Can I enjoy it? To finish my meal after taking the tray is just a weird feeling and not hospitality.

What a joke. Total waste of money. $20 for a “burrito bowl” that has no correct price displayed on board and that doesn’t even have a rice.
Stop ripping people off. Have some shame.
Not to mention it tastes disgusting as well.

I went to TacoRio because I have a summer membership at Urban Kayaks and they offer a discount, so figured my friend and I would try it out. Location is on the Riverwalk right by Navy Pier so there are amazing views but not overly crowded. Spacious amount of seating, drinks were delicious (I got the Paloma), and food was perfect (got the Pick 2 tacos with chips/guac/salsa). Staff was super kind, helpful, and attentive. Perfect place to go when the weather is nice and dog friendly is a big bonus
