Lord have mercy! This food is too amazing! Never tasted anything like it! I wish I could give a million stars! First let me just tell you the correct address is 285 Silver Lane, East Hartford, CT. Or you can call their number and be greeted by their amazing customer service! I am so grateful for the service. They are so nice! I couldn’t choose what I wanted to I got the kabob, Jolaf rice and chicken AND egusi soup with fufu, beef and fish. I know I’m greedy and can’t eat it all in one sitting but I just can’t believe how amazing it is. Then the natural mango juice to top it off! If you don’t try this restaurant, you are missing out. Thank you so much!

Tried my first African meal with fufu! I’ve been dying to try this. And the lady was so nice, gave me samples to see if I can handle the spiciness & which I would prefer. So friendly & helpful!

When carls jerk & BBQ closed and he told me that a new African restaurant would be taking over.i was not thrilled. Low & behold when bigstar finally opened I was there everyday for a week straight getting something different everyday.this restaurant is out of this world zaina and staff are great.this is a must visit. You will not be disappointed the homemade drinks are a real thirst quencher

Absolutely amazing… I don’t even know where to start! I’m not the type to buy outside food but THIS FOOD . This is what I call real authentic AFRICAN CUISINE. The portions are great & very good pricing. 10/10 experience great vibes and atmosphere definitely will be back

Hands down the best Ghanaian food that I’ve had. On top of that, the owner is an absolute gem and you can tell that she puts her heart into everything she makes. Some of the dishes are extremely spicy but full of flavor.
