The food was amazing at Cantina Covina in Ocala! We came in as a party of 8, and everything came out great and on point. I ordered the bowl called “Mas Chingón”, instead of steak I asked it with chicharrón, and it was absolutely delicious full of flavor and perfectly cooked.
Our server Katlyn was super nice, attentive, and made sure our large group was taken care of the whole time. Between the incredible food, great service, and fun atmosphere, this spot is definitely a must-visit. Highly recommend!

This place is by far the best Mexican food I have ever had. Me and my family drive an hour and 15 minutes to come here….the chef is amazing. The manager is amazing and the service is wonderful.. I absolutely love the steak tacos and Churasco. I hope I spelled that right. The chocolate cake flan is to die for and I hate flan. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The people are great. The food and the atmosphere is top-notch. We literally drive an hour and 15 minutes to eat here and we found it just by accident one day. Even down to just the refried beans and rice are fresh and made daily. They don’t serve leftover food here, It’s all fresh!!! And to top it all off the house margarita is banging❤️

the lunch buffet is cost effective for a family of 5 teens! All 7 meals we’ve tested have been wonderful. Highly recommend the fajitas both chicken and steak as well as the enchiladas and chimichanga specials

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and quick. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to and highly recommend to anyone looking for an awesome Mexican food.

Would rate 10 stars if I could. The food was super fresh and I’d say, it felt homemade, but it was somehow better than that. The carnitas in my street tacos were juicy and soft, the beans are out of this world, and the rice is fluffy. Honorable mention to the salsa as well; it had the perfect consistency and a little kick. Everything came within 5 minutes of ordering, yet was perfectly made. Our sever Ruben was absolutely amazing and hilarious, checked on us and got everything we needed in a timely manner.

This place has a rare combination found in Ocala: excellent flavor, service, and vibe. Our whole family enjoyed the music, food and ambiance. And my kids finished their meal which is a plus! We are definitely coming back!

They had a dedicated fryer for chips so they were gluten-free, and the salsa was good. The guac bowl was enormous (I can’t remember the last time we couldn’t finish a guacamole bowl and had to take it as leftovers), but the salad I ordered with shrimp on top was completely tasteless – literally a bowl of iceberg lettuce with boiled shrimp on top. My husband‘s black bean burritos (not gf) were also completely bland and lacked any seasoning whatsoever. The meal was absolutely not worth going back for unless you were just hungry for chips and guac. Also, we sat outside because the inside had a very unpleasant smell — cross between bad cleaning agent and raw fish.

This was my first time here and I had lots of questions due to my dietary restrictions. It’s not easy for my to find a place to eat. They were very patient and never seemed bothered by my questions or adjustments to my order. We were both very happy with our meals. They looked and tasted great. Very nice portion sizes and I feel it was a good value for the cost. The drinks were very special and above anything I’ve seen in a restaurant. I added a picture of one of them. They really go above and beyond to make them beautiful and delicious.
