Amazing little shop! Bagels and coffee were fresh and tasted great! Lots of room so you’re not bumping into the table next to your own. Ladies were nice and very helpful! Definitely recommend checking it out!

Fresh bagels with tons of unique options; wonderful atmosphere; and an upbeat and helpful staff. All this in the heart of a lovely preserved downtown and the birthplace of country music.

The food was great and everything, but as we were leaving we had seen people walk out the back door and when we parked out back when we first got there many people were leaving going out the back door. We walk by the workers who watched us walk by and go out the back door following another person who was going out. The worker walks out and very unkindly says “For future reference don’t use the back door, Thanks” and slams it. We weren’t aware and they could’ve told us while walking back or could’ve been nicer about it. We didn’t know at all. Otherwise everything was great. Just wish we didn’t get yelled at for going out a door, when other people had gone out it also, and they could’ve told us while they literally watched us walk out the back.

Woah! We wanted a bagel for breakfast and this place crushed it. Everything is fresh and suuuper soft bagels. Absolutely perfect. I would highly, highly recommend the pancake bagel (blueberries and maple chips in it – legit tastes like a pancake) and put sausage and egg on it. -chefs kiss- 🙂 Sit down or take out. Service was fast and prices not bad at all (about $6.50 for the sausage and egg on a fresh pancake bagel). Lots of sit down space and they bring the food to you when its ready. Great spot.

Upon walking into the bagel/bakery there was a horrible smell. Didn’t smell like bagels or a bakery. A foul smell. Large seating area. Walked up to the counter to order. no one there except me. 3 people working behind the counter. Took 5 minutes for someone to turn around to take my order. I ordered the cinnamon bun and one orange/cranberry bagel to go. The young lady was not friendly and gave the impression I was a bother. Never thanked me for my order or said have a nice day and come again. The cinnamon bun was flat and didn’t taste like it was made fresh. Not fluffy and light. The bagel was slightly better but hardly any cranberries and no orange to taste at all. I live locally and this was my first visit. I won’t be going back. The quality is on the same level as a supermarket. No variety on the bakery end. No cakes, pies, or cupcakes, etc.

I love a good bakery. A nice peaceful atmosphere to sit and read or just hang out, and I think I found a new favorite.
I like the atmosphere here, is kinda makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a traditional Jewish bakery in NY, but the staff are nicer than a typical New Yorker.
The Bagels are excellent! Soft and flavorful, with interesting variety . I got a 1/2 dozen and so far Feta&spinach, Bacon & cheddar, and Asiago where fantastic. Great combination of sweet and savory as well.
The Schemers where really good as well, I picked up a tub of Bacon & Chive that has me obsessed. Blueberry was also decent.
The coffee was alright, better than your type diner or drive through but nothing to write home about, decent options of add in’s. They tend to be a little heavy handed with the flavoring to the point it overpowers the coffee, but it’s not bad really. Decent.
Overall this Bristol Bagel and Bakery is a true stable of State Street, great for grabbing a hot breakfast in house or taking a bag to go for a week of at home breakfasts. Overall I think I’ll find myself being a regular here.

A nice place to get a bagel…we tried blueberry and cheese jalapeno. Mine was the cheese and jalapeno, I was expecting a little more flavor pop. Both were very fresh and would definitely stop here again.

Not a fan but wife likes this place for some reason. Today waited 20 min for a toasted bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was only warm when it came and lightly toasted on the edges. It tasted fine. Counted 13 people at tables, 2 people in line and 5 people behind the counter. When in there a year ago waited 30 minutes for a bagel. They need to sort out their service issues.

While in Bristol today I was looking for something sweet and savory. We found the Bristol Bagel and Bakery on State Street. It is a quaint little eatery in the middle of one of the nicest downtown streets in the region. We had several savory bagels (Asiago bagel – tasted a bit burnt from the cheese on top and Veggie bagel – delicious) and sweet (raspberry white chocolate scones and cinnamon raisin bagel – yummy).
They offer a wide variety of items for breakfast, lunch and snacks. We didn’t try the coffee – but they have a great selection of coffee drinks as well.
If you are in Bristol definitely go check out this eatery!
