A hole in the wall, cozy Italian restaurant that I didn’t know existed in Saco! We had dinner with friends and traditions and had such a blast. The staff was incredible — we were running late and arrived right before they closed, and they didn’t turn us away. We enjoyed our meal and were the last ones dining; they didn’t make us feel rushed. The staff really was incredible.

The food was great! Their American-Italian menu had it all: baked ziti, lemon pasta, meats and fish, pretty much everything. We ate family-style and shared the food, and everything was absolutely delicious. The lemon pasta with grilled chicken was hands down my favorite! Also, they had plenty of affordable wines. We got a good Chianti bottle for a little over $30.

Traditions is a no-frills Italian joint, and that’s precisely what we loved about it.

A tiny New England pub (not really suitable for parties larger than 4) but oh the food is amazing! The lasagne is huge and delicious. The fried haddock is amazing. I had the local clams in butter sauce with linguine. It was the perfect meal. Highly recommended.

Great local restaurant. Not the greatest Italian food but some of the best Italian-American classics plus some seafood and steaks. Nice cozy atmosphere and lively bar scene. Everyone seemed to know each other and were having a great time. Really solid service and the food came out fast. Only three minor quibbles: Cover would be preferred to Pepsi. It would be nicer for the bread to be warmed up and seats near the door got a little blast of cold when people came in, but just for a second. Would definitely return again if in the area. Really enjoyable place

Came across this place unexpectedly and loved it so much that I came back the next night and ordered the same dinner again. It has a cozy atmosphere. A lot of locals. The wait staff is friendly and engaging. The portions are big. I got the eggplant parm both nights and had enough to take for lunch the next day. The clam chowder soup was also amazing.

It reminded me of an old school restaurant. The food was very tasty, I thought the meat pie was phenomenal. The Veal Parmesan was flavorful and super tender, I wish the portion was a little bigger. Prices are on par with other places. The service was great. The restaurant is small and you should probably expect to wait at least 30 minutes for a table.

Warm and friendly welcome to this old school Italian restaurant filled with locals. Parking is tricky so make sure you don’t go in the back lot. Delicious red sauce so best to stick with the classic dishes. I made the mistake of ordering a chicken Caesar salad which was basically a side salad with a few strips of chewy chicken for $19. Chicken parm was good.nice selection of Italian wine by the glass

Our first visit and I cannot believe as locals we haven’t been here sooner. Every dish we had was excellent!! The seafood was fresh and light, not greasy or heavy. The meat pie appetizer was unique and delicious. The chicken in the Limone was buttery and tender. My daughter cleaned her plate of pasta primavera, which is surprising because the portions are very generous. Great service (thank you Cindy). A+ WE WILL BE BACK OFTEN

OMG the absolute best veal parm and baked ziti we’ve ever had! We’d eat there every night if we could. Prices are more than reasonable. $14.50 for ziti $23.50 for veal parm. They make their own bread which is awesome. We even brought a couple loafs home with us it was that awesome! The portions are huge so expect a doggie bag in return.
I wish I could remember our waitress’s name and give her a good write up. She was a top of the line waitress/hostess from the minute we walked in the door until we walked out. It’s a small restaurant with about 10 booths of four and very cozy.
Don’t go anywhere else for dinner!

Awesome place, cozy, very inexpensive. Great Italian food dishes and a good drink selection. The fresh bread at the start of the meal was awesome. I had the lasagna with meatballs and had no complaints. My wife got a special and she said it was awesome. The service was great as well. I’ll be adding this to a list of stops while I’m in Maine, that’s for sure!

I always like to go here. A small Italian restaurant that is always packed and good food. Everything I have ever ordered has been delicious. A few times my pasta wasn’t drained well and unfortunately it made the delicious pasta sauce watery. The person I was with didn’t have that problem. He chose linguini and I chose angel hair, I’m not sure that would matter. It happened more than once, but I hope they can correct this because their sauce is really good otherwise. I will continue to go there and recommend it.
