Agave is my wife’s favorite Mexican place and while another has stolen my heart Agave has a lot to love. The food is always delicious with massive portions, the chips are light and crispy with just the right amount of salt, and it is honestly pretty cheap. That burrito in the picture was $9.99 for lunch.
They have a massive menu with tons of options from seafood to vegetarian.

Food was good. The prices are very reasonable. The portions are huge. The menu is also huge. So many options. The fajitas are really good. The birria tacos had a unique smoky flavor, I liked it. Service was fast and polite. The restaurant decor is pretty cool. Overall, a nice place to grab some food without spending a lot of money.

This place is incredible. This has to be one of Mobiles best kept secrets, I have never in my life had better and more authentic Hispanic food. Everything in this place is cooked perfectly and tastes so so good. The atmosphere is amazing and feels very welcoming. The staff is always super nice and helpful, the menu makes sense, and the prices are phenomenal. After eating here I will never be going to a Mexican food establishment besides this one. If you haven’t eaten here yet you have to. The nachos are incredible as an appetizer, and you can’t go wrong with fajitas but it doesn’t matter what you get because it will not disappoint. The first time I went I ordered a Horchata not sure what tie spect and by the end of the night I had ordered three of them.

Great food and service. Greeted and waited on quickly. Chips and salsa were complementary. We had a party of nine and everyone loved the food. They are located close to the University of South Alabama. We’ve been there twice lately and I got the tacos mexicanos both times with corn tortillas.

I ate birria tacos with oaxaca cheese. Wife had street tacos with carne asada. Daughter had beef burrito. Son had cheese quesadilla with rice and beans. All was very good. Everyone ate everything. Wife is Mexican and knows what Mexican food is. Highly recommended.

Beyond delicious! This is my second time visiting this restaurant in one week. The customer service is excellent. Food is fresh and well seasoned. The margaritas are strong enough to give you a buzz but allow you to still function lol. Definitely not my last time returning!
