The Lady Tamales is a true hidden gem in Carson City! Tucked away in a simple strip mall, it offers an incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service is top-notch; the staff treats every customer like family, and the place is spotless. The tamales themselves are outstanding you can tell they are handmade with love using authentic recipes. I highly recommend the pork chili verde it is absolutely delicious! If you’re looking for a quick, soul-satisfying meal that offers great value for your money, this is the place to go.

I saw this online and thought I’d give it a try with all the good reviews. And they didn’t disappoint. I’m really weird about meat like I won’t eat anything on a bone. Not even KFC chicken breast or the best steak anywhere. And I wondered where the pig part came from. Was it like pig gut or pig brain so I asked her. And I knew I wanted tamales but this late they only had chicken or pork. I was leery of the pork ( I was afraid it would be from some weird pig part) so I got a dozen chicken. And the chicken tamale was good. But I also got a taste test of the enchilada meal with the beans, rice, and a tamalee. For this I tried the pork tamale. And to my shock the item I was most leery of the (pork) tamale and almost didn’t even try turned out to be my MOST favorite out of everything I tried. These are THEE best tamales I have ever had in my entire life. So if your like me and you have a weird meat hang up but you’ve had the Hormel can hot tamales if like those you will LOVE these yes the pork ones. It’s like the can Hormel Tamales only 1000 times better and bigger. I know this sounds probably nutty but maybe this review will help someone else who had a weird meat hangup or someone that has children. Afraid the kidos might not like the pork ones. Trust me They will LOVE these. The chicken was good but to my shock the pork tamales taste like how you think a traditional tamale should taste. Had I known this I would of bought a dozen PORK tamales. I was there maybe 15 min. While waiting for my takeout and within that time like 5 people came in and order DOZENS of tamales by the sack to go. I can see why. They really are that good. Instead of a pizza night you can grab a bag of a dozen tamales to go for only $15. And they are SOOOOOOOOO good. I’ll be back. 100% And this time I’m getting only PORK Tamales. Ha ha ha The staff was extremely kind with all my questions. She took no offence and the restaurant was very clean. Small with maybe only 4 tables. But most people ordered take out. Happy eating everyone. You got to try these tamales!!!! YUM.

I purchased 24 tamales for $43. Most of them were smaller than the size of my index finger and maybe 5 of the 24 had a very small amount of meat the rest had 0 meat in them. It’s like eating cardboard. Very dry and tasteless. I was told the salsa makes them a little better but it’s too spicy for me so i had to eat them with nothing. The service was good and fast though.

Her tamales are good although a bit too small in my opinion, I think they could just be stuffed a bit more, I wouldn’t mind paying the extra fee. And this shouldn’t reflect negatively on her but I kinda wish I could just eat at her place but it’s kinda too small for me and my family but customer service is good every time.

Small but yet inviting. Spoke to owner (friendly and professional) and ordered up an El pastor burrito with beans, rice, and two of her cheeses inside. Asked for sour cream but apparently she doesn’t or didn’t have that. Also ordered a pork tamale and a carne asada street taco. The burrito was massive but wasn’t a fan of the cheeses and lack of sour cream. I did however really like the tamale and street taco quite a bit, very appetizing and fresh. When I go back, will try some more tamales and tacos and if still great, will bump it to a 5 since the burrito wasn’t stellar to be truthful. Also, pricing is very competitive!
