Review written 8/16/2025. Salad tasted like literal dirt. Looks good but definitely tasted some unwashed greens in there.
Fruit looked good but it was too hard to even chew through the melon pieces.
Also they gave imitation oil filled “butter” and not even real butter for the baked potato

It’s a nice place with food for different tastes. I love their Ultimate Nachos the most but there are other specific items to enjoy, such as various baked potatoes called “Spuds” and different sandwiches and soups.

I had the harvest chicken salad sandwich, potato salad and their “famous” cherry tea. The food was very good but the tea had no cherry taste. Very disappointing.

Come to this location every other week this place is outstanding. Paul & Daniel both have amazing customer service always friendly, smiling and very caring. Food is always fresh & great. Thank you for wonderful service ❤️

Absolutely loved my sandwich!!! I’m very picky with the sandwiches, I never order them anymore because all the time I decide to get one , it tastes bad ! But not here ! So happy what they have this new location close to my job , will be coming often for my lunch .

This McAlister’s is very community friendly. It seemed like there were a lot of regulars around when I came. So that was nice. Great community atmosphere feel. However, I wish I could say the same about the service and food. Upon ordering, I felt rushed, the cashier wasn’t paying attention to me or willing to help with my order. My order was input in incorrectly and when the manager had to come over and change it she gave me an attitude.
I got my food at the table and I expressed at the register that I have a gluten allergy. So I ordered a gluten free meal. Unfortunately, my dish arrived with no utensils and crackers. Now I know that everyone doesn’t know about gluten free…but I feel like they should have listened a little better. It also wasn’t too crazy busy to miss that.
Overall, I ordered a turkey club on gluten free bread and the gluten free chili. The club was ok. Of course the bread taste nasty, because what gluten free bread doesn’t. But the chili was disgusting. Too spicy with hints of artificial watered down tomatoe sauce.
I will definitely not be ordering from them again and the McAlister’s in Schaumburg definitely provides better service and Vernon Hills as well.
