This was the first time eating at Filippo’s restaurant. Don’t let the space fool you as the menu was huge!!
Filippo’s was about 1 mile away from the Genetti Hotel where we were staying ( see Genetti review from 10/2025).
The staff was able to reserve space for our group of 20 bowlers. Our server was amazing! She had great personality, very attentive, and handled our group flawlessly. She even broke our checks down individually for us.
She took our orders at 8:15ish pm and by 9:00 everyone had their dinners. Yea, 45 minutes, but that included getting salads, bread, and main course. We overloaded the kitchen with 20 orders and they nailed it!
I had the Seafood Neptune and WOW, I was not disappointed. Shrimp, clams, mussels, and scallops in a cream sauce. Loved the flavor! Well worth $24!!
I think it’s BYO-wine, but check before you call. Thought I heard our waitress say it was there was a $3 working fee.
If you visit, tell them the bowling group from 10/18 sent you.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years now, and it has never once disappointed me. From my very first visit to now, the experience has consistently been amazing. It’s rare to find a place that maintains such high quality and service for so long.
The food is always outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented every single time. Over the years I’ve tried so many different dishes, and they’re consistently delicious. You can truly taste the care and passion that goes into everything they serve.
What really keeps me coming back, though, is the incredible service. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and attentive. They treat you like family, and that kind of genuine hospitality is hard to find these days.
After 10 years of dining here, I can confidently say this place is something special. If you’re looking for amazing food and top-notch service, this is it. I’ll definitely be coming back for many more years to come!

I had a terrible experience here. I was so looking forward to eating here after reading the amazing reviews! I’m not sure if people have low standards, or if they just don’t know any better. We stood in a cold and windy doorway for almost 30 minutes before being seated. The patrons inside just stared at us and sat talking after obviously being done with their meals for a while (why should they get up and offer a seat?). It’s only one room and crammed with cheap tables and chairs, with dirty plastic covering the tablecloths. Some tables are right in front of the entrance door and bathroom (I know, gross!). The lighting is way too bright and intense to enjoy a relaxing meal. The booths are tight and uncomfortable. The service is terrible! We waited over an hour for our food, which could have been made better at home. Other customers arrived, ate their meals, and left before we were served. The seafood and meat entrees looked like they were purchased at Aldi’s. However, the small amount of bread we received was home made and tasted very good especially after being covered with butter from individual plastic containers. Maybe we ordered the wrong items? I don’t know. The sub sandwiches I saw being delivered to other tables looked very good. The waitress forgot about us several times during this mediocre meal. It seemed that the wait staff is of low quality, overwhelmed, and of low morale. The prices are very high for the amount and quality of food received as compared to other restaurants in the area. I rarely write a restaurant review, unless I am deeply moved by the experience (either good or bad). In this case it was bad. Do yourself a favor and skip this place!

Pizza is garbage. Try to pick it up and eat it and all the cheese falls off. Dough isnt done and just flops all over. Sauce is too watery. Real pizza makers would laugh at this place

THEEE best Italian food I have ever had. My son and I wanted to try it and order some authentic Italian food. It did not disappoint. We had calamari for an appetizer, and it was hot, tender, and very lightly breaded. The bread was fresh and homemade. The lobster ravioli and seafood fillippo were both amazing. Service was a bit slow, but the place was PACKED on an average Wednesday night. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, but a teeny bit crowded, or I would have given five out of five stars for it.
I’ll certainly be back!

It has been quite few years since my wife and I had been to this restaurant. We stopped there with some friends on Saturday evening around 4.30pm.
We were seated quickly and there was only 3 other couples there.
By the time we left, say an hour later, the place was filled.
The food was very good. All four in our party enjoyed their food.
I give the cheesesteak 5 stars. Very good, one of the best in the area.
Small inside and the exterior door opens into the space where folks sit. So on a cold day, you get a blast of cold air. Sit away from the door if possible.
Definitely will go back. Great experience.
