I hate to give such a low rating but this location needs some work (mostly referring to teamwork). The server I had was super nice but I could tell he was super stressed out and it seemed like no one was willing to help him out. He was both the waiter, host, and mentioned he also was one of the cooks. Thankfully, it wasn’t completely packed (there were quite a few tables though). I’m not sure if he was a manager but he seemed to be the only person taking initiative but also had a lot on his plate where he was forgetting some things (which is understandable).
I will say that if you are talking in the kitchen, customers can hear what you are saying (they were talking about some guy who sat himself).
Overall, the food was good but it wasn’t worth over the $30 I paid. I am hoping it was just a bad day on their part with people calling in. But if it’s always like this, something needs to change so that everyone can work as a team when days like this pop up.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this Denny’s tested my patience, my nose, and my faith in customer service. There is exactly one good employee here, and he deserve a medal, a raise, and a transfer far away from this place. Thank you Stephen(spelling?)! Everyone else? Too busy gossiping, complaining about their jobs within earshot of customers, or radiating an odor that absolutely should not be part of the dining experience.
Service was painfully slow, not because it was busy, but because the staff seemed more interested in talking about each other than doing their jobs. The vibe was negative, unprofessional, and honestly uncomfortable—like you walked into a break room you weren’t supposed to see.
The atmosphere is toxic, lazy, and uncomfortable, like customers are intruding on a high school lunch table staffed by adults who don’t care. This place doesn’t need a remodel — it needs new management, new standards, and a reality check.
If management is reading this: find the one employee who’s actually working and listen to them. Then maybe invest in some professionalism, accountability, and deodorant. Until then, I’ll be taking my appetite elsewhere.

My experience Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. was like a breath of fresh air. My friend and I were greeted by the waiter named Chewy who was very friendly and accommodating which really made us feel welcomed. As I looked around the place was immaculately clean and bright which impressive!. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and welcoming and the food was phenomenal. We ordered nachos and I’m here to tell you those were the best nachos I think I’ve ever tasted. To my understanding, they were homemade and deep fried which made them even more special and delicious! The price was unbelievably affordable and I think they deserve the support of the community because we need to keep them in this area. The chef even came out and greeted us, he did an extraordinary job as well. I will be going back and telling my friends about my wonderful experience at Denny’s and Rice Lake Wisconsin!

Steak & eggs, ordered medium rare. Received it well done. Server was very apologetic and offered to have the chef try again. Do you wait for a 2nd one while everyone else eats and risk getting it over cooked again, we decided against it. Bill was $53 for 2 people, no alcohol. But I’m sure other meals were perfectly cooked just not the expensive plate. Unfortunate experience. I shared the lumberjack breakfast so my partner survived

Food terrible, visited for breakfast and lunch on two separate occasions, never again. Hash browns not fully cooked, coffee is lukewarm, orange juice tasted watered down. Visited again for dinner to try again and burger tasted ok, milkshake tasted sour. My friends waffle was absolutely tiny. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Ended up waiting til I got home. Yuck Definitely better places to dine in town.

Waitress didn’t check on drinks at all cups sat empty entire time we were there. Cook “forgot” to make my food (nachos) yet made the skillet meal and tenders. Yeah that makes sense. Then when I’m finally brought my nachos the pico is not pico. My nachos are literally just chip tomato and onion the tomato slices were huge as well as the onion slices. Didn’t realize I ordered a tomato onion salad with a side of chips. We were the only people in the entire restaurant yet in order to get the waitresses attention my brother had to open the front door and make it ding. Our milkshakes didn’t even fill half the glass the cook instead of making food the right way decided he’d rather spend his time on his phone in an empty booth. Mind you no hair nets on him anywhere! Will never eat here again. When I called the following morning instead of a full refund I was offered $25 coupons. Yeah like I’m ever eating here again. Thanks. Such a waste of $60 DONT EAT HERE.

Absolute trash workers and the general manager is a joke. First time here we got our appetizers after we were eating our meal already and had to wait almost an hour for our food. Our second and last time here they were doing a special and they wouldn’t honor that special. Basically no one in the place and still took over an hour for food and the food was overpriced for what they brought out. They won’t be able to stay in business very long by keeping this general manager and these workers running the place. They are known in the community as a joke.

My boyfriend and I got the triple quarter pounder and what we got was WAY smaller. Like 3 mini hamburger patties the size of white castle burgers but thicker by a centemiter. Fried were greasy and burnt. They were out of taco meat as well for the nachos so we didn’t get it. Service was slow not worth the stop and time also silverware had a film on it. Definitely not coming back.
