This place cooks! Jasmine at the front desk is lovely to work with and oh so helpful! The food is excellent, and there are many options for dietary restricted folks. The atmosphere is pretty vanilla as it’s in a dated hotel, but the food is worth the trip! Far exceeded my expectations for a hotel restaurant.

I’ve had the pleasure of trying both the Corned Beef Hash and the Smoked Salmon Benedict on separate visits, and they exceeded my expectations each time. If you’re a fan of corned beef or salmon, I highly recommend giving these a try—you won’t be disappointed!”

I enjoyed a delicious, if overpriced breakfast at Vines Bistro. The service was exceptional. Server Shauba (spelling?) was wonderful, personable, courteous, and efficient. The food was well prepared and nicely presented, though somewhat overpriced, at $20 for 2 eggs, sausage, toast, and potatoes. The menu is small, but it was fine, and as I said, the service was excellent.

This is my avocado toast from Vines Cafe in Downtown Sacramento! It was honestly super delicious and also super pretty! I think the avocado was super yummy and very flavorful, and I think the veggies on top tasted extra great! I really enjoyed eating the cute sprouts and I think the bread was just right because it wasn’t too soft, nor too hard! It did cost $16 for some bread and veggies, but I honestly think it was still worth it! My mom got this ham and cheese bacon sandwich with some cut-up potatoes, and it was okayyy, but it was still a bit pricey. I do not know if I would be down to come here again because they honestly took a really really really long time preparing our food, and looking at the menu, a simple bowl of cereal was $9 before tax, which I think is kind of crazy!

Had breakfast at Vines Bistro the morning of my check-out from the Hyatt Regency. The buffet was solid, and the service was excellent. This is a great breakfast spot in town.

Went for the Easter Brunch. It was very good. The only thing I would suggest is having a dish of self-serve scrambled eggs out and regular pancakes as well. Besides those two things, everything was awesome.

We love coming for the breakfast buffet which goes from 6am to 10am. There is a large selection of breakfast items including seasonal fruit, pastries, cereals. They have eggs Benedict, French toast, scrambled eggs, oatmeal and many other choices. The service here is great. You can also order single entrees instead of the buffet. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to dine here. The only thing I can complain about is that the water has a weird tap water taste to it. Besides that, I will always come here when staying at the Hyatt Regency hotel or when around the area.

Extremely disappointing experience, especially for what’s supposed to be a “star” restaurant.

I’m a vegetarian and always check menus in advance to ensure there are good options. I love food and enjoy exploring different cuisines. My spouse and son brought me here for a Mother’s Day surprise, only to find that the restaurant had changed the menu that very morning—with just 2 or 3 main options available. None were appealing for someone like me who enjoys variety and thoughtful preparation.

To make matters worse, there were flies in the restaurant. The pace of service was painfully slow—like watching snails race. The only redeeming factor was our server, who genuinely tried to help by adjusting a few items for us. They deserve credit for that.

Still, the overall experience was far from acceptable. Definitely not worth the hype. I will never return and cannot recommend it.

First off the food is fresh! This restaurant is built in to the hotel and is located on the bottom floor.

I had the eggs and bacon, along with toast and fruit. The fruit was freshly cut, crisp and sweet. The bacon was cooked to perfection and so were the eggs. The toast was both crunchy and flexible.

Wife had the omelets, she describes it as tasty, however it had too much kale in the omlete, to the point it was slightly overpowering.

The coffee is on point. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is the pricing is a little high for what you get, but that’s the norm for hotel restaurants.
