We’re honestly not even sure we ever found Taqueria La Alegria. When we searched for it on Google Maps, the photos made it look like a legitimate spot with some really good food, so our expectations were set for an actual restaurant experience. However, after driving to the listed location, there wasn’t a single sign, building, or storefront anywhere that clearly indicated Taqueria La Alegria existed. We circled the area and the only thing we could find was a Shell gas station that appeared to sell Mexican food inside. If that was technically the place, it was not obvious at all, and there was nothing that resembled a sit-down restaurant or even clear branding to confirm we were in the right spot. We were specifically looking for a relaxed, sit-down meal rather than a quick travel stop, so we decided not to take the chance and moved on to Lupes Comida con Sabor instead. I’m sure the food at Taqueria La Alegria is probably fine, maybe even very good, for people just passing through and grabbing something quick, but that just wasn’t what we were looking for this time. If you’re hoping for a clearly marked restaurant with a traditional dine-in atmosphere, you may want to look elsewhere rather than making the trip out expecting that experience.

Very tasty, good portions and low prices. Had the breakfast tacos. Simple and good. The salsa is delicious and very spicy. Friendly service, the folks mostly spoke Spanish but I was able to get by with English. It is inside a gas station which might be offputting to some, but I usually find really good tacos at gas station counters. Music was nice.

I paid 22 for 2 burritos. One burrito was a decent size but barely had meat, it was filled with rice and lettuce. The other burrito was a breakfast burrito, and it was so small for the price, not worth it. Also, the arina tortillas aren’t home made, they taste like something I would buy at the grocery store. The spicy sauce was tasty but that’s it.

Very small breakfast tacos for almost $3 each. Worker did not seem to want to be there with no smile, greeting, nothing. Not a word (and then she pointed to the tip bar at check out). Won’t be back.

This is not Taquería Alegria.
The photos on Google are not the real pictures of the food.
I asked for fries for my son and they said they didn’t have any after showing fries on the menu and photos.
I asked the lady at the front if they were taqueria alegría and they said Yes. But they weren’t.
Food was not all that great. They only gave us very little hot sauce.
