We have been here many times but last time we were offered the cornbread and butter and it was amazing. The pork tacos are great too. The service is excellent.

When traveling to and from west Texas, I try to swing by and enjoy a good meal. The place is clean and bright with friendly staff. I’ve never had to wait for a seat and there is plenty of seating at the bar. They have a huge parking lot, kids play area, and easy access.
I usually get the grilled pork chops with asparagus and a side salad. The food is served quickly and the portions are generous.
The restrooms are very clean a welcome break after 4.5 hours of driving.
Worth the trip.

My sweet potato fries looked over cooked but they weren’t. They were very good. Maybe the best I ever had. My burger was also very good. It was hard to take a bite It was so tall. Before I went to bed I just wanted a little something, so I took a bite of my cold left over burger. It was so good even cold I had all I could do to not eat it all. We will be going back there. As far as prices I can’t comment as our wonderful friends were treating us. I also forgot to take pictures of my friend’s salad that she loved and our appetizers.

5D Steakhouse has the only outdoor playground in Kerrville however I’ve rarely seen any kids there and using it.
Favs: Salmon is consistently good and it’s excellent here as well as the chicken tenders/chicken fried steak. Sides: baked potato, mac and cheese, asparagus, and side salad tend to be good also.
Disliked: Ribeye steak wasn’t flavorful or cooked as requested. We’ve tried pork chops, smothered chicken, mac and cheese bowl, and other dishes but didn’t like those. Green beans tend to be a bit spicy, especially for the kids.
Service has generally been good here especially more so lately than when they first opened a few years ago.

The Star of the Show (for me) Chicken Fried Steak. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, and let me tell you something, this dish is legendary! The steak was perfectly tender, coated in a crispy, golden-brown crust that shattered with each bite and the creamy gravy was rich and flavorful. I did add some now pepper, but every forkful was pure comfort food heaven.
The commentary cornbread was amazing. Typically I’m not a huge fan but this cornbread was just how I like them….super moist, slightly sweet, and baked to perfection (I’m still taking about cornbread). It had that perfect crumbly-yet-soft texture that makes you want to slather it with butter (which I definitely did). If they sold this by the loaf, I’d take one home.
No Texas meal is complete without great drinks, and 5D Steakhouse delivers. The margaritas were refreshingly tart with just the right kick and perfectly balanced. The beer was Ice cold, just how it should be. Whether you’re a fan of local brews or classic domestics, they’ve got you covered.

My wife and I went there for a ribeye steak green beans and corn on the cob. We were greeted when we came in and seated promptly. Jessica P. Was our waitress and she made sure everything at our table was correct and served promptly. She is a valuable employee I hope she is being treated as well by 5D as she treated us.

We went Friday evening. Arrived 5:20, seared by 5:30, placed our order 5:45. Sierra was a great hostess, all smiles and checked on us frequently. Got our appetizer and drinks by 5:52. Then our meals arrived at 6:35. We had 8oz sirloin medium rare. Juicy. Baked potato was loaded and soaked in flavor. Veggies were awesome. Chicken fried chicken was great too. Onion rings and mash potatoes were great. Well worth it!!!
