Delicious smell takes you to buy chocolates, ice-cream and milkshakes! Even on a rainy or cold day, you can try the hot cocoa as well! The place has place to sit and spend some time with your friends and family.

OMG, the delicious smell overtakes you as soon as you walk in. We stopped in today while visiting the Highlands area. We could not decide if we wanted ice cream or chocolate. The place was packed and all the employees had smiles on their faces. We bought Iced Coffee and got some chocolate. There are plenty of benches and tables to eat your snacks outside. Everyone was so kind and the treats were yummy.

This is the type of place that could spoil you from ever being satisfied at one of its competitors. More like a pilgrimage for those covetous of confectionery bliss. And not just because everything here is sweet, but it’s because it’s done at a level most will never experience let alone achieve. Who else has pecan praline or toasted coconut ice cream? Or every kind of plump caramel candy coated nut covered apple you could ever desire? And then mountains of homemade fudge being poured onto cold marble from hot copper kettles?

From the moment you swing through the wooden door and make your way past the various displays of caramel corn and bonbons and everything else that sugar can be crafted into, you sense this place is just a wee bit different. Elevated. If the smells of cream being churned or caramel being poured make you yeild with anticipation, you belong here.

Walk up to the counter, try as many of the samples as you can handle before caving to whatever it is that grabs your attention and then take it outside, sit at one of the many wrought iron tables under the low hanging trees in the courtyard, and bask in the glow.

And don’t whimp out and get your ice cream in a cup. Step up to the plate and order one of the most delicious crispy, homemade. caramel and vanilla scented waffle cones you’ve ever eaten ice cream out of. Who cares, you’ve already blown the diet. For those of us who love sweets, this is the perfect way to wrap up an active day in this beautiful part of the country.

Love their chocolates
Not sure I Care for the ice cream, to me it’s just ok.
But I’m a Ben and Jerry’s New York super fudge chunk girl, and nothing compares.
And cook out milkshakes chocolate malted with sour cherries.

This is the ideal place to visit after a hike. My husband and I love Highlands not only for its charming downtown but also for the stunning views and scenic roads. We’ve returned here several times. The customer service is consistently excellent, and the desserts are exceptional.

My personal favorites are the almond toffee crunch, buckeyes, and marshmallow krispy treats.

My absolute favorite place to go when in Highlands. Service is great and icecream and treats is even better. They have so many different flavors and many more different candies, fudge, caramel apples, etc… Such a great place to treat yourself and kids to, and seriously some of the best ice cream. I also personally love caramel apples and theirs are very good. They also have a great selection of homemade fudge, and its also top tier. While it is a chain, its the charm of being in Highlands that makes it 10x better than other Kilwins around. It is also in the square so the vibe is even better and charming.

What can you say? It’s Kilwin’s. Good sweet treats and great service. Great visit. Got the raspberry sorbette. So flavorful. The walnut-carmel apple was outstanding. This is a fun location with some outdoor seating. Nice to sit, nibble and watch the people go by. Highly recommended. Come by snack and take a load off.

Beautiful setup. Great atmosphere and layout in this SWEET Spot! Definitely worth the visit as it’s a great spot and area to walk around.

They can cut your apples for you or you can take it whole.

Ice cream, chocolates, special caramel apples, fudge, special popcorns, and more! What a treat?!

We love Kilwins. The best pumpkin pie ice cream anywhere (seasonal). Their chocolate peanut butter is also amazing. You can get two half scoops for variety. They also served a wonderful hot cider. We come a couple times a week when we visit the area.
