The food is consistently excellent — creative, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you’re grabbing drinks and apps or sitting down for a full meal, everything just hits. You can tell real care goes into both the menu and presentation.
But what truly made our most recent visit stand out was the bar service — the bartender Shirley C is phenomenal. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely great at what she does. She always makes me feel welcomed, remembered, and taken care of without missing a beat. The kind of bartender who elevates the entire experience and keeps you coming back.
Cerulean is a true gem — incredible food, great drinks, and even better people. Highly recommend, and we’ll absolutely be back (and hoping Shirley’s behind the bar again).
Colleagues made recommendations for us as far as menu choices, and they did not disappoint.
We started with the red pepper dip, and it was fabulous. It’s served with freshly toasted bread and the subtle sweetness of the sauce perfectly offsets what can come across as a rather bitter flavor in the pepper. A generous scoop of goat cheese is presented in the center of the red pepper sauce. Smeared on the toasted bread it is divine. I may have discovered my new favorite food!
For our main lunch course, we went with bento boxes. We were unfamiliar with the concept, but the meal is served with one main protein – he chose panko crusted chicken, I went with the tuna – and three sides – he chose edamame, udon noodles and broccolini, I with Chinese noodles, cucumber salad, and crispy potatoes. Everything was good on the whole although the cucumber salad was under seasoned and underwhelming.
The price was a bit high for lunch ($19 per box) but the portions were such that we ended up taking most of our boxes home in perfectly suited for the occasion takeout containers.
The service was quite good and food served in a timely fashion.
The atmosphere was casual, and the space is beautifully appointed. I was surprised to hear one of my favorite songs playing on the sound system as we entered. Such a good sign.
We’re excited to try Cerulean again for dinner when we’re back in Warsaw again.
From the moment we sat down (we had an 8pm reservation), we were told that the kitchen would be closing soon. We felt rushed the entire meal. The bar lights were turned on at 8:45pm while we were still eating. Someone started vacuuming while we were finishing up which felt like the final kick in the butt to get out the door. From beginning to end, we spent less than one hour in the restaurant and ended up just taking the rest of our food home to enjoy in our peaceful and warm Airbnb. Hardly worth the $200 dining experience.
There must not have been a manager on site that night. It’s a shame, because the food is worth trying.
