I highly recommend dining at Cerulean! For appetizers my party got the fried porta bella mushrooms, the Brussel sprouts, double dragon roll and spicy salmon roll. I got the soft shell crab po boy with potatoes. Everything was delicious and well presented! Staff is pleasant and the atmosphere is inviting and comfortable!

The Chicken Florentine was delicious. Our server was very sweet & quick. The portobello mushrooms were good but we prefer thicker cut. So I doubt we get that again. But if you like thinner cut fried mushrooms you’ll love them.

The food was amazing, staff was super friendly and great at check ins to make sure we had what we needed. We did have one vegetarian in the group and for dinner menu there wasnt really an option for that.

Food tasted amazing. Got the scallops entree. There was only 3. I feel for only getting 3 it should be listed you are only getting 3, or this should on the appetizer menu. Had to stop at dairy queen to get more food left hungry. Waitress was great!

Cerulean continues to be one of my absolute favorite spots in Winona Lake — and experiences like this are exactly why. The atmosphere is always on point: relaxed, welcoming, and elevated without feeling stuffy. It’s the kind of place you can bring out-of-town guests and feel proud calling it “local.”

The food is consistently excellent — creative, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you’re grabbing drinks and apps or sitting down for a full meal, everything just hits. You can tell real care goes into both the menu and presentation.

But what truly made our most recent visit stand out was the bar service — the bartender Shirley C is phenomenal. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely great at what she does. She always makes me feel welcomed, remembered, and taken care of without missing a beat. The kind of bartender who elevates the entire experience and keeps you coming back.

Cerulean is a true gem — incredible food, great drinks, and even better people. Highly recommend, and we’ll absolutely be back (and hoping Shirley’s behind the bar again).

One wouldn’t be able to find anything negative about that place: everything was perfect! We went there for dinner on a Friday without a reservation and did not have to wait longer than 10 mins. (Tip: a reservation is strongly advised.) The waiter took our order and everything was served precisely as ordered. And the food? It was delicious and done to perfection: everything we ordered regardless of the cuisine was fantastic: sushi, Australian lamb, a burger and a poke bowl. The restaurant is located in a picturesque place on a canal. It is very clean. The dishes and silverware were nice, not something cheap. It was well worth to visit.

My husband received a Cerulean gift card as a holiday gift, and today we finally had the opportunity to redeem it. What a wonderful experience!
Colleagues made recommendations for us as far as menu choices, and they did not disappoint.
We started with the red pepper dip, and it was fabulous. It’s served with freshly toasted bread and the subtle sweetness of the sauce perfectly offsets what can come across as a rather bitter flavor in the pepper. A generous scoop of goat cheese is presented in the center of the red pepper sauce. Smeared on the toasted bread it is divine. I may have discovered my new favorite food!
For our main lunch course, we went with bento boxes. We were unfamiliar with the concept, but the meal is served with one main protein – he chose panko crusted chicken, I went with the tuna – and three sides – he chose edamame, udon noodles and broccolini, I with Chinese noodles, cucumber salad, and crispy potatoes. Everything was good on the whole although the cucumber salad was under seasoned and underwhelming.
The price was a bit high for lunch ($19 per box) but the portions were such that we ended up taking most of our boxes home in perfectly suited for the occasion takeout containers.
The service was quite good and food served in a timely fashion.
The atmosphere was casual, and the space is beautifully appointed. I was surprised to hear one of my favorite songs playing on the sound system as we entered. Such a good sign.
We’re excited to try Cerulean again for dinner when we’re back in Warsaw again.

Last week, I was really looking forward to this place, but it was disappointing. The portobello mushrooms, spicy salmon roll, and bento box all lacked flavor and didn’t live up to expectations. I was expecting much more based on the reviews. The only positive was that the waiter took our order correctly and everything was served exactly as requested. Unfortunately, the food just wasn’t good enough for me to return.

My friends and I were reunited at Winona Lake for a girls’ weekend and decided to try Cerulean because we had all read about it or heard about it in some way. We really looked forward to dining here, and the food was really good. It was just tainted by terrible service and and an unwelcome feeling.

From the moment we sat down (we had an 8pm reservation), we were told that the kitchen would be closing soon. We felt rushed the entire meal. The bar lights were turned on at 8:45pm while we were still eating. Someone started vacuuming while we were finishing up which felt like the final kick in the butt to get out the door. From beginning to end, we spent less than one hour in the restaurant and ended up just taking the rest of our food home to enjoy in our peaceful and warm Airbnb. Hardly worth the $200 dining experience.

There must not have been a manager on site that night. It’s a shame, because the food is worth trying.
