EDIT: I have been back many times and it is always fire!

I went here for late night food and drinks with some friends and am happy I did! We were instantly greeted and felt welcome. The margs were top tier and mine was properly spicy. The chips and salsa appetizer was all freshly made. I ordered al pastor tacos. The tortillas were made to order in house, and the mango habanero sauce complemented it well. The meat is marinated in house as well. 10/10 will be back again many times!

Well I stumbled upon this place reading about 5 star reviews so we decided to stop in. So it’s kind of hidden, used to be in the spot the old karaoke bar was in. Upon entering we were greeted by Jeffrey. He was our bartender. Great story of how he has always wanted to open a place like this. The decor was very down to earth. Like walking into a record shop almost. LPs hanging on the wall. A great selection of music playing. I was told it was a playlist of over 21 hours of music. A very nice rotation of music. Made me feel as if I was back home waiting for my parents to let me know the food was done. Guacamole was very solid indeed here. Best one I’ve had in town so far. The salsa was good as well. Jeffrey let us know most of the recipes and marinades came from him being in Latino households while growing up, hence the decor and vibe I got. All I can tell you is the tacos are some of the best in town. Tortillas are made to order on the flat top, they mix the masa by hand and all the protein I sampled, Shrimp, chicken, asada, carnitas, and al pastor where brilliant. The house made Verde sauce was definitely special to. I can’t recall having a Verde sauce being this good. The star of the show is the Frito Taco. Cheese cooked on the flat top then stuff it with steak roll that up and put it in a tortilla with chipotle sauce and a slice of avocado…..oh my goodness, oh my goodness. A cheesy meat filled dream. If you are like me and opt to order a la carte then make this the final taco you eat. It’s so beautiful and perfect and made to absolutely blow you away. I can also say the Californication Cocktail was really outstanding. A margarita made with avocado and serrano peppers. A nice spicy and creamy concoction. The avocado added a nice balance to the spice.
If you decide to eat here please know that you can park in the garage and they will validate your ticket for you. So don’t worry about parking. They have it covered. It’s been hours since I left and I’m looking forward to another visit. Taco Tuesday promises $2 tacos across the board as well as $3 Tijuana Hotdogs….oh yeah did I say $3 Tijuana Hot Dogs. This place has earned a solid spot in my rotation after 1 visit. Thank you Jeffrey for the amazing hospitality. It’s visits like this that really make me happy to support a local business.

This FAR exceeded my expectations. Food and drinks were amazing. The food is different enough to stand out from other Mexican restaurants but isn’t “weird.” I’d call it “elevated Mexican.”

Everything is house made and fresh, and there wasn’t a single thing I didn’t love. We had the elote dip and chicken flautas for appetizers, tried all the different tacos (couldn’t pick a favorite!), a quesadilla, the TJ dog, and churros for dessert.

The TJ dog might be my new favorite thing— already thinking about when I’ll go back for another. The churros come with a dark chocolate cinnamon dip with a little kick of spice— fantastic.

Margaritas were great, too, and I’m pretty picky about not liking bottled sour mixes (everything is fresh here). We will 100% be back and have already been telling our friends and planning who we want to take with us next time!

Wow! Super impressed! The server/bartender and owner were on site and friendly. The food and drinks were delicious! The HUGE bowls made our burrito bowls look like small servings, but we were stuffed by the time we left! The grapefruit/tequila cocktail, classic margarita, and strawberry margarita were all excellent. The Cali Burrito Bowls (vegetarian) were delicious. The nachos were hot, crispy, and freshly fried. Food is owner’s southern Cali family recipes and DELICIOUS!

Tried this place out and had a great experience! The food was incredibly fresh. The menu was unique, offering some creative twists on traditional Mexican dishes, while still keeping some familiar staples. The standout for me was the guacamole—without a doubt, the best I’ve had in town.

The staff were also amazing—super friendly and accommodating to dietary restrictions. As someone with both vegan and vegetarian friends, it’s refreshing to find a place that not only has options but makes you feel welcomed and supported. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

This place is just phenomenal in all categories! The food is a fresh take on Mexican and the marinades on the meat are absolutely delicious. So far I have tried their different street tacos, with the Carnitas being my favorite. I also tried the Cali Burrito which was delicious!

For apps, I highly recommend their Guac, which is one of the better guacs I have tried around here.

On top of that the drinks are super delicious. Even as a non-tequila drinker i can get on board with their small batch tequilas in their freshly mixed Margaritas. However, they also have rum which they can substitute for the tequila.

No complaints about the service either. Everyone is beyond kind, professional and accommodating!

5/5 easily!

Absolutely phenomenal food!
This is food that you don’t just eat, you taste and savor. I would say it is the most flavorful Mexican cuisine in town. Just about every ingredient is meticulously handmade in house & it certainly shows in the flavor profile.
Drinks/cocktails/margs are craft quality as well.
The place is tucked away in Wabash Landing, & this is fitting because it is most definitely a hidden gem.
Don’t sleep on it!
