Julius N. “Cap” Capri, originally from Altoona, Pennsylvania, was appointed to supervise all civilian mechanics at what was then known as Greenville Army Air Base. During this time, Mama Capri began baking pizzas in her kitchen once a week for the “Yankees” stationed there, and soon the demand became overwhelming. After World War II, “Cap” decided to make Greenville his home, where the Capri family opened a cozy log cabin restaurant on Augusta Road. Capri’s Restaurant thrived, and today both “Yankees” and Carolinians alike can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine at any of our locations.

Very nice place to go for dinner. We had about a 10 minute wait. Food came out relatively fast. I had the Caesar salad, meatball trio, appetizer, and a deluxe pizza. I can’t wait to go back!

There was a small wait to be seated, but very minimal. We enjoyed the fresh bread with butter, olive oil and Italian seasoning. The anti pasta salad were spot on, but my caesar salad was out this world with real anchovies. Our party loved the lasagna and chicken parmesan. The service was friendly and very attentive, Becky was our server.
Definitely will be returning and can’t wait to try the pizza.

Finally a decent Italian restaurant in downtown Woodruff! Great atmosphere and Becky was was our waitress, she was top shelf! However, the soup was a little bland, sausage with my pasta was cold, tomato cream sauce wasn’t great. The pizza was solid and the meatballs were great! The regular tomato sauce (gravy) was really good.

If we wanted to eat in an Irish Bar we would have ordered food from Connor Flynn, where we have eaten before.
HOWEVER, we wanted Italian fare, specifically attached to the CAPRI name.
That the door on the CAPRI side had an arrow shuffling us over to Connor Flynn – Worrisome. But we went on.
Big Mistake.
Red Flag.
We were not seated ON the Capri side … that should have been my second Red Flag and should have turned around and walked out. Handed menus from both “Capri” and Connor Flynn. WHY?
The long standing CAPRI name is the ENTIRE reason we went. We we hopeful for having a Capri on the east-side.
Calamari (undercooked) and Fried Ravioli (fried to burnt) and the chicken and eggplant parmigiana both looked exactly the same, even the server wasn’t sure which was which.
Three Disks of
?chicken we guess? and
three disks of unrecognizable, but obviously frozen then deep fried, eggplant ‘patties.’
I can’t even explain the lack of taste of the ‘marinara’ on everything or too-long-floating-in-water texture of the spaghetti & penne. Seriously, just serve jar sauce.
(They deep fried literally everything in the same oil as fried fish and french fries … and somehow left the food in oil beyond recognition, no one is sauteing anything).
The server was really lovely. The poker on the TV a ridiculous distraction, but of course we were seated adjacent to the Connor Flynn bar.
Too bad Capri sold off their name and there’s no supervision to keep the name and food from being ruined.

A friend of mine dined here last Thursday and ordered the chicken pictured. When she showed me today, I was honestly shocked this ever left the kitchen. One would assume a restaurant like Capri’s has a qualified cook or chef, as well as someone checking plates before they’re sent out. Apparently not. This is not meant to bash the establishment, but to bring this to their attention so it can be addressed and done better in the future—because this never should have been served.

Tall ASHLEY is the best server in the place, she deserves raises each quarter. Shes great at her job and her smile radiates Capris. The food is great and the portions are great. My only mild complaint was the chicken parm was a bit dry 95/100 id probably do the meatball next time. Very clean establishment. Other servers in passing where great and helpful. I have no idea how this place has a 4.3 but it absolutely deserves a 5!!! Ashley made sure going out we had a cold drink and to go boxes for that generous portions. This place for a portion one fettuccine and a sub and all you can eat bread for me was 15$(plus tax of course) thats McDonald’s money, how could you go wrong?

Decided to try the new Italian place in Woodruff. Heard good things about this restaurant and was looking forward to an early Valentine’s dinner with my wife. Service was excellent. We were seated with almost no wait time on a Friday evening. We ordered dinner and the wife had the salad with her dinner. It was a little much and overpowering doing an antipasto salad vs a simple garden salad. I’d suggest keeping it simple as you want room to enjoy the entree as well. My wife enjoyed her dinner and I was not thrilled with mine. The waitress noted that I had not eaten some of my dinner and she got the manager to talk to me. She took the constructive criticism well and asked me if I wanted something else. She did a great job addressing the problem and giving me a resolution. It’s been a while since I’ve had great service like this so I’m looking forward to going back and trying some of the other dishes. Even though I was not happy with mine, other dishes I saw coming out of the kitchen looked very promising. Thank you Capri’s for taking great care of us. Looking forward to coming back soon.

What a treat! Great service, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was casual but delightful! There was a small wait but well worth it. The portions were generous too. It was quite busy but we thoroughly enjoyed it.

There was a bit of a wait, but that’s only because it’s a cozy small restaurant, so I’d recommend planning ahead and avoiding arrival on an empty stomach. Trust me, it’s absolutely worth it! Once seated, the service was friendly, attentive, and quick, and the food was downright delicious. The fettuccine earned full kid approval (huge win!), and the chicken Marsala was perfectly savory with just the right portion size – generous but not overwhelming, balancing the chicken and pasta beautifully. My family and I left feeling pleasantly satisfied, with happily full bellies. Highly recommend!
