This is a great restaurant to go to for traditional Mexican cuisine. The menu is very extensive, and we ordered a variety of menu items to share. Everything tasted wonderful, with the guacamole being my favorite. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff was very friendly.

I got the huevos divorciados and they tasted just like the ones I used to get in mazatlán. Tortillas were hot and fresh and the pinto beans were flavorful. Service was fine. I enjoyed my meal.

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. From the moment we walked in, the waitress was unpleasant and not welcoming at all. There was no friendliness, no effort to make us feel comfortable as customers.
We were brought chips that were ice cold, as if they had come straight from a refrigerator. The salsa served with them was also cold. I politely asked if the chips could be warmed, even suggesting the microwave, and was told they “don’t do that.” I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants, and warm chips are standard, so this was already disappointing.
Unfortunately, it only got worse. The waitress said her name was Karen—which I honestly doubt, given the amount of negative reviews mentioning poor customer service. It felt more like a name used to avoid accountability.
When it came time to order, I clearly told her it was my first time there and asked for guidance on what to order. She offered no help at all. When I asked about substitutions, I was shut down immediately without explanation or effort. Her communication was minimal, dismissive, and rude. The attitude throughout the night was very clear: “what you see is what you get.”
By the time the food arrived, we were so uncomfortable that we simply asked for boxes and left. That says everything.
I can’t say whether race played a role, but I can say the environment was unwelcoming, the service was terrible, and the food experience did not make up for it at all. Based on the many similar reviews I’ve since seen, this seems to be a pattern—not a one-off experience.
I would not recommend this place unless major changes are made to both customer service and food quality.

I normally love their food I always get the quesadillas for me and my family I normally order two quesadillas because there’s four pieces each one and I split those between me my husband and my two boys we need to get two quarters apiece. And then I add whatever sides at the time today I got french fries The french fries tasted excellent no problem.. quesadillas they started off tasting really really good like normal and then when I got to my second piece I took the first bite of it and I gagged and almost threw up , The piece I had bitten into once it hit my taste buds was rotten , I called the store just to give them the heads up let them know the kitchen and stuff dismissed my claim and concern by saying nobody else complained about their steak today so it was good. Originally I was just calling to let them know hey look , you need to change your steak because it’s bad , because I was dismissed I am putting it on here just in case I or anybody else get sick tonight August 7th 2025.
When you call a store and you tell them something especially when it can kill somebody you expect them to do something about it say something about it take care of the problem make the problem better and that’s what I was trying to do, I was trying to make them aware of the problem and to make it better. I don’t normally complain about my food here, like I said it’s normally great I normally have no problem with it it’s just tonight It was rotten. I know that they summer heat could have something to do with it I’m not giving any fault as to why it is rotten just that it was The bite that I took was rotten.
If you know what the smell of rotten meat smells like you’ll know what it tasted like. I am still a little bit nauseous from eating it, but I think that might hopefully have to do with the idea and the circumstances. If the nausea don’t go away it might take me a little bit longer to build up the courage to eat there again .
Just trying to give people the heads up have a blessed evening.

This place reminds me of when I lived in California, food is excellent and the girls that work here are sweet as pie! Affordable price too. Has a bar inside and tables outside and inside.

My daughter came into this place of business expecting to be treated like a customer, she ordered her food and gave specific instructions on what she wanted on her food. When her food came out it wasn’t what she ordered, so she did what any normal person would do take it back. She was ridiculed and discriminated against! Told her order couldn’t be fixed . Why I don’t know when she paid. The staff went as low as to call the police on her all because she wanted her food how she ordered it !! My advise to ANYONE DONT visit because they want your BUSINESS but In return will not treat you fairly nor as a valued customer! DO BETTER MR. TACO!!! And to TOP IT OFF THE TACOS ARE NOT EVEN GOOD AT ALL !! We will continue to eat at EL TAQUITO!!!!!!

3/30/2023 My daughter and I figured we would go for Tacos . I remembered seeing this place every time I drove down Main Street. So today we whet in for Dinner. WOW! You do seat yourself but the girls are ready to take your order right away. We came for tacos so I ordered 1 pulled pork, 1 steak and a goat gordita. My daughter ordered 1 pulled pork,1 steak and then ordered a beef burrito . I really wish I had more stomach room because the food was amazing . I want to recommend this as a do not miss when you’re passing thru. They even have a cute outdoor area with an order window. YES they have beer. Prices are good for what you get. Everything was fresh right down to the guacamole. They do have a step up at the door. So if you are handy cap you might want to eat in the beer garden.

I like they were open till 11pm, there is not much in this town late, and the store was clean and felt comfortable inside.. some times small town restaurants dont care about that. They were out of a few basic things but i wont complain we came in like five minutes before closing and they took care of us. The food was not the best mexican food i’ve had but like i said, small town you cant complain. 4 stars and would certainly recommend specially if you are just driving thru. Prices were very fair,

Amazing food, great atmosphere, and affordable prices. Upon coming in they give you chips and salsa. Tacos are $2 each, Gordita $3.50, and sandwiches are $6.75, $7.95, and $8.95. A meal for 5 people is $35.
