This place was recommended by a local during one of our tours and I’m so glad we decided to dine here. This was one of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted, it was definitely the best meal I had during my stay in Florence! They gave amazing service, very friendly and a great sense of humor. It was also super nice to sit and watch as he prepared the steak! 10/10 I would love to come back here again!

The food is mind-blowing. Go there for the highest-quality meat. Nevertheless, the other dishes such as pasta and chicken were absolutely amazing as well. Tiramisu was a cherry on top – never tried any better one

I heard so much about Florentine steak while I was here and knew I had to try some for myself. There were so many places to try but this restaurant was recommend by a local. We ordered the course meal for 2 for 40 euros and the amount of food we got was insane! They just kept bringing out course after course and were extremely satisfied with what we got. The steak was little on the Salty side but it was amazing quality and I loved it. The cheesecake here was also one of the better ones I’ve had! I would definitely recommend you come try this place out.

A MUST DO that is a walk off the beaten path. We went off of the reviews on The Fork and TripAdvisor. At first glance, my family panicked. Boy were they mistaken, and they even admitted it. So clean. So welcoming. So fun. So DELICIOUS!!! True Florentine food and if you aren’t sure where to go, this is the place. Avoid the crowds and enjoy the top tier culinary cuisine and service. Best restaurant we’ve eaten at in Italy so far!!!

The restaurant was completely empty. A group of 5 came in and left before placing an order. The ambiance and decoration is terrible but worse is the meat and the service. The waitress first stated the meat for two is between 1-1.2 kg. We said we would rather have a smaller piece as we are not big eaters. A couple of minutes later she came back with a 1.48 kg steak at price 148€.
I asked her for a smaller but she said it was the only one she had. So we said OK. The steak came back, 40 minutes later. Over cooked. Pink in the middle and nothing red. It was hard, it was tasteless and we left 1/3 of it as really disgusting.
This restaurant increases the prices because they have constantly people coming with 50% discount via The Fork app. Even with 50% it’s too expensive. We have been to really good steakhouses in Italy and this is the first time we have such a poor experience.

The tasting menu was the best meal of my life. The focaccia bread was good, the appetizer was monstrous and full of things we loved and things we didn’t but that was half the fun, the next course of ravioli filling balls was by far the surprise of the night – amazing – and then the Florentine steak with potatoes was phenomenal. I can’t recommend this place enough. Buckle up, you’ll be in for an experience, and if you’re American you’ll be blown away by the value.
Note to the staff: your whole crew is awesome. Top shelf.

This restaurant is delicious!! Great atmosphere, very ‘Italian’ and homey. The food was delicious I absolutely will be back next time in Florence!! Also Katharina was incredible, accommodating us with our preferences and allergies. 100% recommend.

I had one of my best meals at this place. What can I say? The Tuscan beef was so. Good. They even got the boiled potatoes to somehow taste good. Note is that the prices is per 100grams, and as with all Tuscan beef there’s a minimum of around 1.2kg which is perfect for two to share. The minimum weight comes from the fresh meat having significant bone attached to it. I highly recommend this place.

We went to Trattoria I Fratellini Brace e Spiriti dal 1958 and it was an amazing experience! The food was so delicious, and the staff was super friendly and attractive.
The guys in our group loved the Florentine steak. It was awesome to see them cook the meat in the wood-burning oven – the crackling and the smell of the olive wood just made it even better. The truffle and butter sage gnudi – and the black kale bruschetta – was also a hit, a real taste of Tuscany.
The whole vibe of the place was really cozy and had that Tuscan charm. It was a perfect combination of great food and a welcoming atmosphere.
We’d totally recommend Trattoria I Fratellini Brace e Spiriti dal 1958 to anyone who wants to experience authentic Tuscan cuisine and amazing service. We can’t wait to go back for more!
