I had a craving for McAlister’s and checked the hours before going. They were closing in about 40 minutes and I was only 5 minutes away. I tried ordering online, but it was lagging, so I called and was placed on hold. No one ever picked back up.
When I arrived, the restaurant was completely empty. The employees at the front were on their phones and looked visibly annoyed that I came in. There was no greeting. The employee taking orders ignored us at first, then looked up and said, “Do y’all want to place an order?” Another worker said, “That’s the one who was trying to order,” and walked off.
The experience was rude and unprofessional. It was clear they didn’t want to take the order. I won’t be returning. The only reason I gave two stars was because I enjoyed the food.

My husband and I usually get take out from here. I really appreciate the staff. Even when they are short staffed or overwhelmed they have a great attitude. They are always really nice and friendly. Only negative I can say is sometimes their cookies are tough. Other than that the food is really great.

I was somewhat satisfied because my food was stuffed in a small bag and when I pulled the food out of the bag it was filled with grease. What a mess? I guess from the sandwich. The potato looked good in presentation but it was very dry, burned and overcooked once I cut into it.

We have eaten at Mcalister’s several times. The food is usually consistently good and flavorful. The service is always good. However today the food was a little less quality than usual and you could barely find any bacon on the bacon and tomato sandwich or the on my club sandwich. Don’t know if they were short on bacon or if they’re pigs got loose LOL

We don’t often leave restaurants with such a lasting positive impression, but today at McAlister’s Deli in Fern Creek on Bardstown Rd, we truly did. I have severe food allergies, and after explaining my needs to Beth at the counter (who we later learned is the GM), she went above and beyond to make sure my meal was completely safe. On top of that, she was incredibly kind and personable throughout the whole experience.
Not only was this the cleanest McAlister’s I’ve visited in Louisville, but also the friendliest. Thank you, Beth, for making me feel cared for and never like an inconvenience. Your effort and kindness mean so much.

Workers are rude..my coworker had chilli it wasn’t hot so he sent it back and they said just put it in the microwave so ur food could not be sitting at the correct temp..and after they continued to talk about him infront of his face the manger was in it talking about him as well so she needs better customer service skills won’t be back !!
