Whoo! You know when you eat something and after you’re done you say, “that hit the spot?” That’s this.
After years of walking past it, I finally decided to give it a shot. Ordered the chicken tenders, potato wedges, and hush puppies online, it was ready in about 20 minutes (reasonable for from-scratch food), and while I only briefly interacted with one person working, it was an extremely positive interaction and I got awesome, bright vibes.
The food is heavy and flavorful; if you asked them to hold the seasoning, they might shoot you. They’ve heard of salt. And it’s wonderful. I’ll be back, maybe to sit in at one of the little tables inside that don’t typically seem to be busy, and enjoy my new find.

I finally had the time to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I was craving some fried chicken. This small Soul Food restaurant is a must stop. The ambiance is super chill and friendly and the food is perfection. I ordered the two piec fried thighs with green beans. Then we ordered the hot wings and hushpuppies. This food is made with love. Do youself a favor and stop by Stella’s Cusine.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Ms Stella seems very sweet but I was not able to eat this meal. The menu said $16 for 8 hot wings. I asked if that was a combo. She stated it was. I choose Mac and cheese and green beans for my sides. The total came to $25. I confirmed again if that was the 8 piece meal? She said yes. I paid because I figured maybe there was a miscommunication on my end. She said it would be 20 to 25 mins. I thought that was a bit long but decided to go shopping and come back. When I got back my food was ready. I took it back to my hotel and open it to a complete disappointment. The wings were the smallest wings I have ever seen. They were fried sooo dry I couldn’t eat them. There wasn’t any flavor besides hot sauce. The Mac and cheese didn’t take good at all. The green beans were well seasoned but at that point I was completely not interested in eating anything else. Soo disappointed. This is my first meal on a mini vacation. Hope the rest is better than this place.

Random find which turned out to be amazing. While in town I walked into an understated little building out of sheer curiosity and discovered Stella’s. What a gem! The food was great and service even better. Portions were generous for a fair price point. Only complaint is the space needs some cleaning up, it’s a little junky looking. A little cleaning and organization with better presentaion of loose products should elevate the asthetics and make it more appealing. I will definitely revisit when I’m in the area.
