This is the second time I’ve been here and food is just as good as it was when I first came here. We ordered Black Garlic Ramen, Crunchy Dynamite rolls, Kara Age Chicken with Cucumber Salad on the side. The ramen was delicious as always, huge portions, I can never finish it , rolls are very good too, Kara Age Chicken was finger licking tasty, I highly recommend to try it. Great service, very nice waiters, nice quiet atmosphere. Overall, great sushi restaurant! I’ll be coming back for another bowl of delicious ramen!

This was our first time at Blowfish Northfield, and it was a very rewarding experience. From the moment we walked in, it already felt special. The aroma was incredibly inviting and immediately set the tone for a great meal.
We ordered the Philadelphia roll, fried calamari rings, and ramen. Everything was very good. The ramen was especially flavorful without feeling heavy. The meat was high quality and served in a good portion size.
Service was great, and there was no wait time, which made the experience even better.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our visit and hope to come back soon!!!

we only got the poke bowls and nigiri, so a small portion of the menu, but what we got was pretty. the nigiri was definitely the star (not pictured, sorry): super fresh and delicious. the poke was good too, but just slightly underwhelming given how good the nigiri was. the bowls were pre-set, and I think they were definitely tryna…. play it safe? perhaps make it easily agreeable for people who maybe haven’t had poke/sushi before? idk. it wasn’t bad, it was kinda like if you go to Chipotle and order a burrito with only rice, meat, cheese, and beans (no salsa, no sour cream, no corn, no veggies, no sauce, etc)

The food was good but not the best and that’s why I ranked this sushi restaurant the way I did. The food was not bad, but just not my favorite. Nothing impressed me about the foods taste, I think if they tweaked a few ingredients it would make the restaurant a real hit! The atmosphere, prices, presentation and service was spot on!

I’ve always gone to the Blowfish downtown location, probably at least once a month, so I had pretty high expectations coming here. Definitely make a reservation before you go because it’s a popular spot and gets busy fast. The Northfield location has a lot of seating inside, good for both big groups and smaller hangouts.
I came here to celebrate a birthday with my friend and everything we ordered was amazing. We got calamari, a few sushi rolls to share, and a poke bowl, and honestly everything was a 10 out of 10. So flavorful and fresh. Our waitress was super nice and friendly too, which made the experience even better.
The interior has really nice vibes and feels put together without being too fancy. I’d definitely come back again.

Was craving some sushi on a road trip to visit Chicago with a friend, and found this spot on the way to our hotel!!!
We ordered the tofu ramen, vegetarian poke bowl, a spicy crunchy crab roll, cucumber roll, and mango mochi for dessert.
Upon opening our bag of food once we got to our destination, I discovered that I was given a free vegetarian sushi roll with a very kind note saying “on the house! Enjoy!!” And it simply made my day❤️
Everything was so delicious and so fresh! I will 100% be returning here next time I am in the area. Thank you so much for the free sushi and delicious food!

First time dining here but definitely not the last. We ordered the pork bento box and three rolls (tsunami, caterpillar, and rainbow). Everything was excellent. The rolls didn’t skimp on the fish and everything tasted fresh/high quality. Great atmosphere inside and lovely waitress.

I’m so glad they opened their second location in Northfield. One of our favorite sushi restaurant in Chicago, they never disappoint from delicate, fresh-tasty sushi to amazing service and ambience. It’s just all perfection! I would highly recommend this restaurant and also if you never had snow ball and stuffed salmon for appetizer, please do. Its amazing!!!!
