10 stars is more appropriate. The Country Fried Steak and “homemade” mashed potatoes were excellent. Everyone was very friendly, even the other customers. The pies were perfect and not too sweet. It’s a little drive from the highway but so worth it.

We have been coming here for years for breakfast, typically without issue. Our last visit we ordered omelettes, which we’ve had many times before. Except today when the bill came they had added an extra $1.50 and $.50 to each of our omelettes. Our menu clearly stated they were $10.95 and came with “your choice of cheese and bread.” We both ordered cheddar and NO bread. So we got LESS food than we should have. We asked the server what the extra charges were for and she said that the prices on the menu were wrong, so now they JUST ADD $.50 to every egg you get and apparently cheddar is not one of the cheeses included in “you choose?” Inflation. Fine. Update all of your menus, and that doesn’t mean write on the top of a FEW of them something confusing, that means correct pricing next to the item on the menu. You don’t get to give someone a menu that says they will get an omelette with 3 eggs and cheese, and then charge them extra for eggs and cheese. It’s is truly not about the extra money, we really liked coming here for breakfast and would have gladly continued to support your business if you needed to raise your prices. The way Bev handled the situation, and would not come out of the back to justify her decision to simply tack on extra charges, and then yell something about “they just have to pay, it is what it is.” This is not only a deceptive way of running a business, it is NOT legal. Your prices on the menu are a binding contract, not a starting point for you to tack on whatever you decide after the customer has eaten.

We visited Terre Haute this weekend and walked to Bev’s for breakfast on a whim. Absolutely loved it. The food was outstanding- bacon was cooked to perfection and the eggs were fluffy and not overcooked. The rhubarb pie was also delicious. The food was served quickly, hot, and our server was so attentive. Very cosy, small diner atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back!!!

This was my first time at Bevs. It’s a small spot on the east side of town. We didn’t have a wait to be seated. The waitress Anna was attentive and took our orders quickly. Drinks and salads came out quick. The sandwich came out shortly after. It was served hot and fresh. The flavor is spot on. Fresh vegetables. Anna gave us plenty of sauces for our meals. The restaurant is clean. It’s a cozy spot. They do serve coca-cola here. It’s a repeat place for sure.

We stopped here on the way back to Houston from Michigan. I was looking for a local restaurant on Google maps. This fit the bill and exceeded expectations! Service was great! Mostly regulars there, but they all seemed friendly. I got the breakfast with eggs, German potatoes, and bacon, plus pancakes. Delicious! Wife got the chicken fried steak with Mac and cheese, and green beans. She loved it, and she is picky. She ate it all. Daughter had the fried cod sandwich and chips. She also ate it all. Will stop by if we’re out this way again. My only regret is I did not save room for pie! Next time!

Wow! What an exceptional place this little diner is! This was our first trip to Terre Haute and a friend recommended Bev’s for lunch! And we were not disappointed! The food was exceptional and the prices are hard to beat! This is not fast food…. this is as close to home cooking as you can get without staying home and cooking it yourself. 10 out of 10 would recommend Bev’s Restaurant!

The hamburger was a good size, but dry and not much flavor. Some toppings (onion, lettuce, tomato) were an extra charge. The fries were good, but they were a $2.95 upgrade and the portion size was small. My husband enjoyed his chicken salad sandwich.

We were driving through Terra Haute on our way to Ohio and stopped at this lovely diner. The people and the food were just warm and welcoming. The coffee was very good. My boys loved the pancakes. Everything really hit the spot. Highly recommend
